Snowden going to be murdered during Olympics?

So, I've come under request from a person to bring up this question..

"Is Snowden going to be murdered during the Olympics?"

Perhaps. It would be an excellent time for the powers that be to end him, while the world is distracted.

Now, did the world notice when Gary Webb shot himself in the head twice, after exposing the link between the CIA and illegal narcotics traffic? Not particularly... Would the world notice if Snowden just dropped dead of a heart-attack? Probably not if it took place in the middle of the Olympic games. Eyes are on the athletes, and not much else.

The country with the highest number of medals would be bigger news to people than the death of a person who leaked sensitive information.

Now, I've read Catch-22, and by the end of it, Snowden's as dead as any dodo. Life imitates art. We all have to deal with the grim secrets Snowden spilled all over us. We're all waiting for the other shoe to drop, to hear about the inevitable plane crash/aneurysm/mugging/suicide that will take him down in a politically convenient fashion.

Bradley Manning is in jail, Julian Assange strikes me as a shill, and Snowden seems over his head. I personally wouldn't like to be the main character of a sci-fi dystopian style inquisition from the government.

So, I'm watching the head-lines, waiting for the inevitable "accident" that kills him. Crazy?

With the popularity Snowden has, it's more likely that the CPUSA will use his image to push revolution, so Snowden's survival is assured by the Left.

Or the pro-marxists will shoot him themselves and blame it on the CIA so to make him look like a martyr.

If they wanted him dead, he'd already be dead. We still have people operating inside Russia, and there are a lot of ways to make a death look like an accident/suicide.

I'm not sure how I feel about Snowden. Most long time ATS members already knew about Carnivore and Eschelon -- so these revelations of his were more of a confirmation than anything.

Given what he's done I think anyone in that situation would be over their head , and no he's not going to be murdered during the Olympics.

In my eyes, I don't see any reason that the OP couldn't happen! You are 100% correct with saying the eyes are looking elsewhere currently. The only issue is, I am not sure that most of Americans actually know who he is. We do, but it's not like his face and name were posted all over MSM to show the world the new USA boogeyman....It has been kept "under wraps" and when I asked my wife and her family if she knew him, they had no clue what I was even talking about.

If he is "silenced", I don't even think we will hear about it....I believe it would be buried from any and all eyes and Russia would hide it too because they don't want their "assylum" to be a failed one where someone was murdered....IMHO of course!

If Snowden dies my guess is he will fall victim to Polonium Poisoning...hey he's in Russia right. seems to be the weapon of choice over there... Anyway, if America wanted him dead, he would be dead already. one phone call from the white house and he's history.

Snowden is so busy ' leaking ' 30 year old info... who would want to kill him ? You mean , they're listening to EVERY phone call ... like they've done since 1943 ? Oh , no ! Angela Merkel ( of all people ) might have guessed such a thing.

You are correct, in that he's in Russian territory now, home of the poisonous umbrella.

Precarious territory. We're to assume that just because the Soviet Union fell, and the specter of Communism sort of fell apart, that the Russians aren't the same people as before, capable of the same actions as before. The Moscow Theater Crisis seems to indicate the Russians are just as prone to blunt force as the U.S.

If the Russians kill Snowden, they might false flag the thing, make it look as hinky as possible so that folks think the U.S. did it.

Then again, Snowden has an enemies list that is rather long. When he drops dead, I figure it'll be like the Kennedy assassination in terms of confusion about who killed him and why.

Improbable as we who watch for false flags would expect this scenario and I am quite sure everyone would start shooting their mouths off.

BTW, my CO used to say "Perfect paranoia IS perfect awareness." Of course, he was the chief of counterintelligence, so it kind of fits ;-)

It would actually be in the interests of the Russians or the Chinese if Snowden were to die in any fashion. If he dies, I suspect the 'Dead Man Switch' would be activated, releasing a dump of all the NSA info that Snowden has, but has yet to release. It is his insurance policy against assassination by the US.
The only reason the Chinese or Russians haven't did him in yet would be if he is feeding them info that they think benefits them if no one else knows that they know it.

I think you are overestimated the appeal of the Olympics. And underestimating how famous snowdon is.
