Ok. Alright.. Ok...

Ill share a story that has nothing to do with this thread, other than my participation in the other one (it makes sense if you think about it, I think).

I once took a friend into the back country in the dead of winter. I used to be quite the outdoorsman.. I brought him out there to train him, and it REALLY didnt go well. Too whiny... We had to forge through about four feet of snow up pretty steep inclines, and he complained that it was "hard" to step where I did. So I told him to take the front and see which is more difficult. >

Both of us had noted hearing lots of "voices" in the woods, and a constant feeling of being watched. Those that have been alone in the outdoors a lot have most certainly been to places like this..

Anywho.. During the night there, I saw what appeared to be a flashlight shining into the tent. Pretty strange.. It kept getting closer and closer, and I was already ready already, if you catch my drift.. (drift? snow?

)

All of a sudden the light went through the tent and took the form of what I know as a faerie, or elf. They were about two feet tall, and floated, surrounded by a bright light. Stereotypically, they were also carrying a small stick, assumedly as a wand. They said something to me, then softly touched the "wand" to my forehead, and I fell asleep.

I woke up the next morning feeling better than I had in a long time.

Maybe I was dreaming, but I have never felt more awake in my life. You never know whats out there..

IOW, Nightstar is totally an elf. All that to get to that point!

I am about as curious as you guys as to who sent it to ya! All we need is some Sherlock Holmes hats, and we are ready!

I have no idea what will be happening friday, aside from what I will be drinking, which will be mixtures and probably a significant amount of dark rum!

More than that, I cannot even begin to say. No doubt once the drink starts flowing, things will... move along, after a fashion (probably sideways)

Its one of many for me, and that was only part of the story, but it is what it is.

Being all "sciency," I have tried to come up with rational explanations for all the strange things through my life. I still leave the possibility open that I was asleep, but I was coherent enough to go through several "tests" during the experience (turning on watch light, and a couple others).

What an intriguing story. Perhaps you were at the right place at the right time and got to see into my realm.

Rumover...pmsl!!!! I'm fine thank you, just had enough to be tiddly, so not suffering really...starving now, so off to make myself something to eat...beans and fried egg on toast....nomnomnom!

Thats a cracking breakfast idea. I just ate lunch myself. Cold, garlic infused roast pork, in a sarny with mayo! It was yummy, but I nearly drowned in drool while making it!

And yes... thats what a hangover is when it is caused by considerable intake of Rum. There is a unique feeling to a rum hangover, which separates it from other hangovers. I find it totally different to a beer hangover, or a vodka hangover, both of which can feel somewhat similar depending on the circumstances. But a Rumover is a very individual "flavour" of experience, worthy of its own title!

I love rum hangovers, they are the only sort I can handle.

I'm not sure why but everything else drains me. Don't get me wrong the first hour can be a struggle for breath but after that I'm full of energy. I think it may be to do with the caffeine in the coke.

It has to be Cap. Morgan with coke or Lambs with Pepsi, it tastes weird the other way around.

Or Bacardi 8 year matured over ice. Its not the clear watery looking stuff. Its yellow, a little like a whiskey in colour!

Cannot beat that. Lovely smokey aftertaste as well !
