So Soros is a bad guy because he did to the banks what the banks had been doing for years? And what did he do with the money he made? He used it to help the people. Between 1979 and 2011, Soros gave away over $8 billion to causes related to human rights, public health, and education. No wonder people hate him so much because you can't much as much money when people are educated and healthy.

The next major crisis: angry American people revolting against its government.

George Soros is known as the man who 'Broke the Bank of England' for a very good reason..and that's how I'd first heard him referred to in a biography prior to the current crisis and troubles.

Gordon Gecko of Wall Street fame was a pansy compared to Soros for being a robber baron of industy and international commerce. The man could buy a small nation ...then give it away as a gift and not even feel a pinch in his net worth.

At some level..money transcends concepts like wealth and just becomes an obscenity. Soros is far beyond that point.

* and to head off the obvious..his politics have 0 to do with it. He could be politically loyal to the almighty Kumquat and my feelings wouldn't change one iota about the "man" Soros is today. (Emperor Palpatine comes to mind..but he had a sense of humor, at least..)
