Serious question:
Why are you Americans afraid of a fleet, only a destroyer and a helicopter carrier, approaching the USA?
What is the problem?
The USA has battleships all across the globe and also directly in front of the Iran, why is this ok, but Iran sending out ships is not?
I will never understand this....

Btw

The average Iranian is no dummy. They are more than capable of figuring out the size and capabilities of the respective naval forces. The internet works there, too. Unfortunately, the people this will impress are the repressives that live in caves and think anything invented after the death of Muhammad is satanic. They are also the ones with guns and explosive tuxedos.

I can confirm. They have internet censoring, but nobody cares, everybody uses proxies. I jsut skyped with a friend in Teheran yesterday.
And alcohol for example is also forbidden there, but you can get it everywhere and cheap

btw Teheran is a pretty modern city and I would love to visit it sometime.
Sure Iran is not a perfect country and they have a lot of political issues with oppression etc. but most of the people there are normal people like you and me.

I'm not sure how accurate the figures are today, but in 2011 the US Naval fleet looked like this:

Carriers - 11
Cruisers - 22
Destroyers - 61
Frigates - 26
LCS - 2
Submarines - 53
SSBN - 14
SSGN - 4
Mine Warfare - 14
Amphibious - 31
Auxiliary- 47
Surface Warships - 122

Total Active - 285 ships

It's not that we are scared of the fleet, we are more scared of the real meaning behind stories like this... We have false flags still fresh in our minds, we have Govt. officials who love going to war, and we have a President who enjoys lying to us constantly..

Not sure what the point of your post was. What does Iran's naval movements have to do with Gulf War I? (IIRC there were Aussie forces involved in that as well...)

I am sure Saddam agrees with your opinion on how useless the Coalition forces were.... oh, wait. Maybe not.

What in ANY of my posts would lead you to believe I was afraid of the IN in any way? Let me go read what I said again...

Fear indeed. It seems aLLeKs is confused between fear and ROTFL.Apologies for abbreviation use but it is what it is.

You know.. come to think of it.. There is something to fear with the Iranian 'Navy' coming anywhere near our waters.

Their 'warships' may breakdown and cause a fuel spill, adding to our already ugly pollution problems and perhaps even having a negative impact on wildlife and life in the ocean.

Goodness.. Now that is a legitimate concern. Perhaps the Coast Guard needs to run out there and do a safety inspection. The lives they save could be their own!

That looks quite close to the deployment overall however the entire 5th fleet is so massive you wonder how they keep from shooting at each other.

Task Force 56, Navy Expeditionary Combat Command. These are our crack forces some of them train at the base-Fort Campbell

CTG 56.1 Explosive Ordnance Disposal / Expeditionary Diving and Salvage[18]
CTG 56.2 Naval Construction Forces
CTG 56.3 Expeditionary Logistics Support; Provides logistics support for USN/USA/USMC, cargo movement and customs throughout AOR
CTG 56.4 Riverine; Provides riverineprotection of waterways from illegal smuggling of weapons, drugs and people
CTG 56.5 Maritime Expeditionary Security; Provides anti-Terrorism/Force Protection of land/port/littoral waterway operations for USN and Coalition assets, as well as point defense of strategic platforms and MSC vessels
CTG 56.6 Expeditionary Combat Readiness; Provides administrative "Sailor support" for all Individual Augmentees, and administers the Navy Individual Augmentee Combat Training Course and Warrior Transition Program.

Sometimes you just got to love the US Navy and their lingo.

'Combat Training Course and Warrior Transition Program' How do you define 'Warrior Transition' Basically, it's retraining individuals for combat readiness that had technical skills in their last deployment.

These units are trained at Fort Knox as well.

my quote in contrast

you wore suits came from the Bible belt and followed your Zionist puppet masters

you said

with your opinion on how useless the Coalition forces

Where in my quote did I say that the Coalition forces were useless?

The whole point of my post is that the US citizens are played like puppets invading other countries for resources, oh but I forgot you do it for freedom, yea right...
Never mind about Gulf war syndrome victims, vets being abandoned by their Govt,
How about the thousands still suffering from Agent Orange effects in Vietnam. Oh yeah that faraway country

From the OP 1st page

because history has proven that my Govt. acts a little crazy and not always in the best interest of the people they are representing..

I noticed that you completely disregarded my point:

Colin Powel failed to produce WMDs and still you embroiled yourselves in Iraq

If you cant see the big picture of how the citizens of the US are being manipulated for geo-strategic goals of the globalists then I'm afraid you diets of McDonalds and TV have worked well beyond their wildest expectations

www.globalresearch.ca...
After pausing for a few minutes to collect his thoughts, Mr Kissinger, carried on:

“We told the military that we would have to take over seven Middle Eastern countries for their resources and they have nearly completed their job. We all know what I think of the military, but I have to say they have obeyed orders superfluously this time. It is just that last stepping stone, i.e. Iran which will really tip the balance. How long can China and Russia stand by and watch America clean up? The great Russian bear and Chinese sickle will be roused from their slumber and this is when Israel will have to fight with all its might and weapons to kill as many Arabs as it can. Hopefully if all goes well, half the Middle East will be Israeli.

Our young have been trained well for the last decade or so on combat console games, it was interesting to see the new Call of Duty Modern Warfare 3 game, which mirrors exactly what is to come in the near future with its predictive programming. Our young, in the US and West, are prepared because they have been programmed to be good soldiers, cannon fodder, and when they will be ordered to go out into the streets and fight those crazy Chins and Russkies, they will obey their orders. Out of the ashes we shall build a new society, there will only be one superpower left, and that one will be the global government that wins. Don’t forget, the United States, has the best weapons, we have stuff that no other nation has, and we will introduce those weapons to the world when the time is right.”

Serious question:

Who said many are?

This is a publicity stunt by Iran. Strategically speaking, a foolish one. Hypothetical - If there were to be an attack on Iran then wouldn't it have been prudent to keep all their assets near Iran to defend Iran? Sailing them all the way to American waters just makes the job of sinking them all that much easier.

Just checking, are they sailing in American waters or near American waters?

If they're staying in International Waters then what's the big upset? Does the USA have dominion over all International Waters too?

Sorry, I was not clear.
I was not directly adressing the people in this thread, but the general public.
When I look at comments of this news or on sites like reddit, the general opinion always seems to be that, no matter what the Iran does, it is evil.
I did not want to offend anyone in this thread.

If I was Iran and I was going to attack America....id dangle some bs ships out drawing everyones attention then id hit somewhere else! Problem is the logistics to attack america are such a pain...we are surrounded by oceans...but some of our soft targets over seas would be what Id hit if I was Iran. I dont think they have the balls though.

Iran knows they could never defeat the US in a conventional war, so they would likely resort to guerrilla tactics instead... That is one of the areas that we are most vulnerable too..
