I've always wondered why; if they are capable of sending back HiRes photographs of the surface of Mars, why would they not have put a video device and sent back video recordings of the planet?

Thank you. Cool. It seemed like a good name. I hope BlackCat13 and funbox like it, is it OK with you guys? But they are a hard audience, so I must prove my case.

To do so, I've edited this video out of my first post, and because it's more appropriate in this one. Just imagine him singing "King What" everytime he says 'King Tut'. Have to come up with a few alternate words in some of the lyrics, but then'it'll fit. This is the kind of Mars object which some grocery store tabloid can pick up and it would go 'grocery-store-tabloid-viral', like Madonna being pregnant with son, or Glue is made from horses hooves viral. People would say "Look at that..." and talk about a statue and a temple and writing from Egypt being found on Mars. Because this thead is almost a test case. It went viral on ATS really fast, which is unusual for Mars threads. So this is a good one (for a bunch of rocks).

'King What' sung to the words of King Tut. We should all come up with those few alternate words, and then maybe someone can do an overlay of ATS's boy king on top or alongside Steve Martin as he sings this one

All we really need are substitutes for "Born in Arizona, moved to Babalyonya", and most of the rest seems to fit quite well, in terms of where this scenario will end up:

I have a hard time believing this -- whatever it is -- is a product of some geological process.

That "Smiley Face" is great... looks like a smiley face after a mild stroke.

That's the problem with most of the stuff, like that other 'woman's face (queen never-pee-pee)' shown somewhere above... her nose is crooked. There's usually some part that breaks the symmetry of a face ... and I bet symmetry isn't uncommon in other life forms, either... though a lumpy, non-symmetrical silicon based life form could be all over Mars, now that I think of it. Good luck telling that possible life from a rock, though.

Yes we see what we want to see or programmed to see. Humans are programmed to see faces starts with infants.The other funny part is no one here is bothering to figure out how big these objects there looking at are. Most of them are inches long meaning those martians make awfully small statues.Maybe thats why we cant see them there only half an inch tall.

I already raised the issue of size on the Mars anomalies in a thread somewhere but consider this, IF these objects are signs of a civilization and obviously none of us can be sure either way, we still don't know what exactly they are. They could be ancient jewellery carvings for example.

My point is, we just don't know.

Adding up the head thats now discovered . It's getting hard to deny that the ancient Egyptians , if we we can call them that way ? were way beyond there time.. Our roots lie on Mars I've always felt and believed that! I'm not sure that anything lives there now but I do think there's allot eroded treasuries lying beneath the sands of Mars.

I can imagine that when the end of the Martians were upon them .They had to choose new destination to survive next of kin. Gazing up the skies the Martians saw this blue dot and thought of the only way they could escape destruction of their peoples and so they prepared their ships for Earth..

Maybe the black Black Knight was sent by the Martians and still orbits our globe as proof that once mars had this magnificent future and Atlantis was the beginning of Martian on Earth?

When i get home ill post a picture that can give you some scale.Just remember the rover only travels on fairly level ground. Remeber when they thought it was stuck in a ditch. These pictures are within a couple of feet of the rover. Meaning these are very small objects.

So martians went around dropping key chains everywhere but no nuildings etc. That would be one strange civilization.

I may be grabbing at straws here but I think I may have found legs to our statue head....

Not sure if anyone has posted this yet...I did a quick search and didn't find anything though.

Anyways quite interesting indeed! This is something you'd expect to see in Egypt...EXCEPT IT'S ON MARS! Not sure you guys can write this one off as just a rock! Upon closer inspection I noticed that there looks like there are some sort of symbols on what I believe to be the hat, I can see about 5 different symbols...the only one I can really make out looks like a snake.

Hi Cavedweller88-

Very nice find there! Could it be a play with shadows? Possibly. Could it be real? Possibly. Looking at it I didn't have to try and squint my eyes or turn my head sideways I saw it right off the bat its easy to recognize. The only way for us to know if it is a real statue or not would be to have the rover go their and check it out or send someone. In any case great find again and I am going to say its a statue and the rest is below the sand like the pyramids were back in the day.

I think I agree with you....too many anomalies in such a small space...everything fits together... the opposition said it was a trick of light and shadows but we can still clearly see the face from 3 angles. Pareidolia, I think not. Now they say that its too small...but who really knows how big the life-forms were on Mars? The size of the statue could have been just right for them! Also here on earth we have a wide range of statue sizes....So I don't see how size is relative in determining whether this is a legit find.
