OK your right, the prezi is bending the rules, but he may have good reason...

So...it's ok for the President to "bend the rules" if he has good reason?

It's ok to violate the constitution with good reason.
The end justifies the means.

If it were just "bending the rules" a bit that would be one thing, but this president has set new standards with regards to expanding presidential powers. This president has continuously shown his disdain towards the constitution. This president's admin has continually been embroiled in one scandal after another.

Executive tyranny.

I tell you what, since I been in ATS is a very common trend to bash the government in power, yes people tend to forget that when Bush was president, it was a bashing fest on him in ATS.

I can testify for that because I was one of those that bashed him all the time, due to the fact that the policies of him were affecting all of us, back then people that didn't like Bush been bashed were accusing ATS of become a Conservative strong hold.

But look at ATS now, things changed now people that do not like Obama been bashed and scrutinized is calling the boards a Liberal strong hold, I am bashing Obama just the same I did to Bush.

I voted for both of those presidents in their first term, also, so I am hardly a party loyalist.

This is the way things works my friend, next elections if the Liberals win things will change dramatically in this boards and I am sure that many of the old friends from the Bush bashing era will come back, But I still be here as usual.

They also dont pardon themselves with selective memories. I can give some of the newer members of congress a pass, others, not so much. Sorry bud.

I think whether you guys like this President or not, you cant really ignore the very things everyone bitched about here on ats can ya? I can't sit here and say theres no carry over from the last adinistration when theres been carry over from every last admin in history. I do agree with X on voting participation. Since we're talking on that point, had Romney won Youd be in Syria right now. These NSA programs people are upset about would still be happening, the patriot act would still be going ect and the military would probably be in Iraq and Afganistan for another 20 years. These are things constantly railed against on ats and other media outlets and you guys would still be calling for impeachment, accept for Romney, not Obama.

Whats up with the constant madness? Its like a media driven cycle of insanity man.

Because at this time impeachment won't go anywhere. While the house can draft the articles and vote to impeach, the Senate holds the trial. Since its controlled by democrats, an impeachment will not go anywhere.

I'm still trying to digest your comment that you think you're a reasonable person. Seems to me that you are only looking at the topic you brought up from one side. The President might "bend" some rules. Come on brother! You need to stop blindly following a ideology and start thinking for yourself. You even said that you were out celebrating Obama's election.
