World poverty is down to an all time low according to this.

www.aei-ideas.org...

All because of the free enterprise system.

Poor only exist in capitalistic societies. In Native American cultures (prior to European Genocide) there were no hungry or homeless.

Within the tribe all were taken care of.

The idea of ownership of land was silly to them. So we wiped them out.

I know why rich societies have poor people. Its because rich people exploit those that have less. They "capitalize" on their misfortune. That grows into actually causing misfortune to capitalize on.

See stock market crashes, war, famine, poverty (debt).

The whole lie presented as capitalism is really a disguise to eventually steal all the wealth and reduce everyone else to abject poverty so they can't steal the wealth back. People at that point are too busy trying to "get ahead" (like you).

Those cultures also had slavery and ownership of people. I suppose we should go back to that. To suggest that they did not recognize ownership of goods is silly.

LOL capitalism created the middleclass. People have been brainwashed to accept the failed socialism system that created the largest mass of poor people.

Capitalisiam is also decimating the middle-class. It is an economic system in which humanity should have moved past by now.

Capitalism is like the Magic Sword in Zelda. It's a great substitute for the Wooden Sword, but you'll need to toss it aside for something better if you ever want to beat the game.

Call me crazy, but I think we should be spending our collective brainpower on improving the best systems we have until they are better still, and so on.

Getting all parochial about 200 year old economic / political models, or 2000 year old religions is regressive.

EDIT: That goes double for socialism, communism, and all the other silly ism's the vast majority of talking monkey's are so fixated on.

What a mindsetThe brainwashed are above and well

We use a k because there is no more America

Its gone lost to the me-me generation

Like yourself

We also imprison more people ( most poor) the the rest of the world

Why is that?

Because the people who used to work have had their jobs shipped out of this country so the rich can make a bigger profit

That leads to more poor

Who won't be taken care of because of people like you

You disturbed me immensely

I hope one day you wake up

No capital and labor fighting

Sometimes winning

Sometimes losing

Is what created the middle class

Discretionary income created the middle class

Capital only seeks to make money

Unless labor took some of that money there would be no middle classs

Capital would keep it all

Which is what they are doing now
And now they do

Labor that was paid for with private capital, using technology and manufacturing techniques invented by private industry.

Now you are starting to get it

See when labor and capital are in a constant game of tug of war

We had a middle class

Now capital has bought off out representative

And won the game

And labor gets thrown in the mud

While capital goes off to eat a steak

Everybody is bitching about the system but I haven't heard any brilliant solutions. I still don't see the mass exodus to better countries either. Maybe if America is such a lost cause you should pack your stuff and test another countries immigration system. Bet ya gotta sign up on the way in.

I own my own manufacturing company with employees. I know a great deal about how the system works.

Really mine was created by designers at Apple who are non-union.. (ie: non labor) and built at least partially overseas (unfortunately) and they seem to be doing ok there, have good salaries and good benefits as well..

Unions are not the end all be all, yes they serve a purpose (I belong to one for my night job, SAG-AFTRA) and am very vocal within but.. I've been in unions that do nothing but bluster, and I've been in them that actually do things.. It's more basic than Capitalism vs Labor

It's Government exerting too MUCH control over Capitalism... When you have the Government shutting down an 11 year old's cupcake business that has ZIP to do with Labor Unions and everything to do with Government Intervention.

There are only 3 things I think should be nationalized base services, Power, Telephones, and Water.. everything else, competition and open markets work for, without the socialized government interference, which is contrary to a fully capitalistic and free society.

I too believe there are only 3 things

Life liberty pursuit of happiness

And why are they nonunion

And why is it made in China?

Because capital won

Ty for proving my point

No.. Capitalism did not win over Unions... that's where you fail to see the bigger picture.

Most unions, will tell you that they are for the free market and for unbridled Capitalism, what they are against is a Socialist type of government, with LOTS of government interference in all aspects of business.. That's what you are missing in this equation.

Our system of Government is not "capitalism" it is a Representative Republic fashioned after the old Greek and Roman Republics, (I would at this point challenge whether we are still a functioning Republic) Capitalism only refers to a form of economic policy that allows for a Free market (which we do have despite what everyone says, it's for the most part filled with competition, although the govt should back off the regs a little) and for people to make what they can doing what they can, simple form it's actually a lot more convoluted than that in practice.. It is the exact opposite of a Socialist economic structure where Government controls all aspects of Business and commerce, you are mixing the two things up, one is Economic, one is a System of Government..

So to recap: In a free market, a corporation is allowed to go wherever they want to to get their goods made, and sell it for as much as they want provided they can get someone to pay it. Unions for the most part subscribe to this theory of market economics with one caveat they want companies to pay THEIR people to make things..

IN a Socialist Economic Market, Companies are not free to do what they want and therefore prices artificially controlled and well Unions are verboten.

We live in a Representative Republic, that has a laissez-faire economic policy (on paper)

All those cultures? I only meant the "higher ones". Most tribes thought that owning things was selfish. An affront to the Great Spirit who set the example and who provided all. They kidnapped people too (whites even), I think the intent was to rescue them.

And yes not every single tribe thought like this. Just the ones I admire.

Was it Redcloud who forsake his tribe and joined the Whiteman, learning the language, donning the culture, clothes and educating himself in their colleges? He discovered that instead of peaceably coexisting with their fellow countrymen, the white men charged each other for everything, from food to clothing, rent, etc. Whole tracts of people were allowed to go hungry right in the center of town because they could not afford the price of a meal. Money was the most important thing, not each other.

He quit and returned to his tribe after that.

Capitalism is a fine system so long as its inhabitants are what economics terms 'rational actors'. Rational actors balance cost and product and ultimately purchase the best product at the lowest price. Cost is a simple factor to evaluate. Evaluating the elements of a best product is more nuanced, but some exemplary choices many American idiot exceptionalists make is big box over local, foreign over domestic, vile over virtuous.

Unfortunately, our country is filled with idiots, probably some on here bashing capitalism from their Apples. Idiots and capitalism mix like gas tanks and British Petroleum.

Again i am not anti capital

I think we need capita and labor

I think the tug of war between the two is what made our country great and created the middle class

That class is dwindling

Soon to vanish
