Does anyone know if the following websites are credible?

french.xinhuanet.com...

www.xinhuanet.com...

www.news.cn

This is were the image seen in the above video was located.

If this is indeed directly from China's Change 3 this could be a big find.

Lol no one has called it a rock yet, that is cool.
I for one couldn't say either way, could be a dome shaped rock or a rock shaped dome.
Wish that rover would just get a better picture... Whats so hard about that

When i look at the object, I think it doesnt look like its natural. What I do see though is all the trash we've left there, mars, and everywhere else we've sent things to. Heck, we even managed to send it out of out solar system...

The image is listed here at Space.com and Space.com has a credible reputation. They would not post this as an official Chang'e 3 photograph if it wasn't.

i.space.com...

At this point we can be pretty certain this is a legitimate Chang'e 3 image.

Looks like a rock to me, lol.

Seriously though, it is the most logical opinion until the Chinese decide to drive over there and confirm what it really is.

Thanks for sharing though.

Awfully small dome if you ask me...defo artificial....yet...

We have sent so much garbage to Moon, even bombed it...I wouldn't be surprised if it's a part of something like that.

It is interesting none the less. Since the rover seems to be heading in that general direction...are there any more pics...closer ones ?

I always find it difficult to point out something that far away. Because the images are blurred and show strange formations. Nevertheless I also had my eyes on this thing weeks ago and thought about it to make a thread around. But the distance made me drop the subject.

It looks as if it's something interesting to see from closer view. So lets wait and see if chang will drive to the object in the coming time?

A "dome" that is only about one foot wide?!

No. Just another rock.

So instead of the monolith we get the stature of liberty - awesome.

Question - is it just me or does it look like he images in question have been altered. The surface colors goes from lighter to darker with an almost perfect transition.

Like the lower half was a model and the upper half was a green screen.

I believe the image is genuine as stated by CigaretteMan , it does look interesting but that doesn't mean it's anything other than a rock ... Unless it's the reason for the report "Failure" of the Yutu rover and China have sent the mission dark

Here's another copy of the image on universetoday.com

They are as credible as the Chinese Communist Party. Xinhua is the official state media. I see no reason to fake a picture of a rock, but who knows, the whole trip might be faked.

Back to the rocks, please go out in the desert and take some random pictures. You will find all kinds of rocks that look like stuff right here at home. It is possible that it is manufactured junk. I see nothing like a "dome" though.

If you and others haven't heard as yet, the Chinese Rover is dead. It's a dead parrot. It won't be driving over anywhere to look at anything, but is now itself another "rock" on the Moon. Good-bye, yellow brick road.

That seems to be the case sadly.
Hibernation couldn't save the rover apparently.

I agree the scattered objects in that image do appear artificial and not natural.

What more can we say about it though? I doubt it's a domed building, as it would be very small...i'd say technology of some kind, crashed, blown up or just ancient and decrepid.

It may even be something we sent up there.

Yeah, i know. I said the above statement in the rare case that the rover could potentially be fixed...
