BREAKING: China Dumps all US Bonds and Closes South China Sea - CNN Pulls Article Minutes After Post

It appears this was a false alarm, as CNN is claiming their site was hacked and the bogus information was posted.

Sorry to scare everyone but that would have been some crazy news to find out of the blue. Carry on.

China has just announced, in response to what it calls US aggression, that it has placed all its US treasury bonds on the open market and simultaneously has declared the South China Sea a closed zone. This is a developing story, please check for updates.

I read this on another forum and I thought it needed to be brought there. We need to get as many hands looking into this story as possible to determine what is really going on.

As I said in the OP, I found this on the other forum. However, view the Google Cache and you can clearly see the page was there, as Google has it cached.

Weird. This would be reported everywhere by now if it was true.
Edit: His link DOES work and it shows it was up on CNN. Click the first link where it say Breaking News in the title.

If this isn't a load of crap, not blaming you OP if it is, then this is huge. Stock market, global economy, meltdown huge. Best keep an eye on it and look for more sources. Will be digging myself as well. Truly hope it is bull.

Luckily this time it was merely a a hack, as can be seen by the "article's" subsequent deletion from the live page and CNN's mea culpa:

But perhaps more telling is the complete lack of market response to even the hacked article, so different to the AP hack from last summer when the market plunged if only briefly following a hacked AP tweet. Just goes to show how irrelvant the once upon a time only news network has become.

If it was a hack why doesn't CNN bring it's own article that says they were hacked? Are they covering their tracks? It is easy to blame people half a world away...

Not saying it wasn't, just a little fishy that they haven't come out rebutting the story and calling it false...
