UN climate chief: Communism is best to fight global warming

According to the United Nations climate chief Christiana Figueres, China has the best approach to fight carbon emissions because they apparently don't have the political infighting that the U.S. has.

She claims democracy is a poor system for fighting global warming, and Communism is better and China is the best model.

United Nations climate chief Christiana Figueres said that democracy is a poor political system for fighting global warming. Communist China, she says, is the best model.

China may be the world’s top emitter of carbon dioxide and struggling with major pollution problems of their own, but the country is “doing it right” when it comes to fighting global warming says Figueres.

“They actually want to breathe air that they don’t have to look at,” she said. “They’re not doing this because they want to save the planet. They’re doing it because it’s in their national interest.”

China has the worst pollution problems imaginable.

And she says they are the best for this problem?

What is she smoking?

I don't agree with her. I've been to China and it's difficult to breath is some places.

But one article is trying to be a little divisive, as is visible in the title of this thread.

No where did she say "democracy" is a poor political system for fighting global warming. No where does she say anything about "communism".

No, truth, transparency, clean abundant energy sources that empower the worlds poor, and not the purses of their major corporations.....all this is important. But true counsels of citizens and freedom/equality by the people.

Murder works for achieiving your way, if the police won't arrest, either. Lots of criminal ways to force issues. FASICISM VIOLATE BASIC COMMON LAW AND CONSTITUTIONS, ITS ILLEGAL!

Of course communist countries have political infighting.
They do it out of sight and by different rules and methods.

This must be very disappointing news for all those East-European states who just few decades ago distantiated from communistic dictatorship.

Then again, role of UN hardly is to promote ideologies, promising slaughter of middle class under faceless big capital and big bureacracy. This job is left for Obama & crooks alike to do.
