Suppressed 2002 German Report on 9/11

On Monday 6, August, 2001, at 17:50, [German] Ambassador Ischinger personally notified the President of the United States that information developed by the Bundesamt fur Verfassungsschutz [German domestic secret service] as well as the BND [Bundesnachrichtendienst, German foreign secret service] indicated that an attack by a radical Arab group partially based in Germany was to occur on 10-11 September, 2001. The President was at that time in residence at his farm in Texas. Our [the German’s] Ambassador was acting in direct response to instructions from Foreign Minister Fischer.

This information was developed from official surveillance of Arab extremist groups operating in the Federal Republic as well as from intercepted communications between the Embassy of Israel and the Israeli Foreign Ministry in Tel Aviv concerning this matter.

The information was “gratefully received” by the US President who stated at the time that he was also aware of the same pending assaults.

Subsequent to these attacks, the office of the US President, through the US Department of State, made an urgent request to the government of the Federal Republic of Germany that no reference whatsoever should be made to the official warnings given by Ambassador Ischinger.

On May 8, 2001, the US Department of State, in the name of Secretary of State Powell, gave 43 million US Dollars to the Taliban in order to facilitate their cooperation in the pipeline project.

On June 10, 2001, the BND warned the CIA office in the US Embassy to the Federal Republic [of Germany] that certain Arab terrorists were planning to seize American commercial aircraft for use as weapons of destruction against significant American symbols. This was considered a general warning only. The Federal Republic’s warning of August 6, however, was specific as to date, time and places of the attacks.


On July 11, 2001, in Berlin, US officials: Thomas Simmons, a former American Ambassador to Pakistan, Lee Coldren, State Department expert on Asian matters, and Karl Inderfurth, Assistant Secretary of State for Asian matter met with Russian and Pakistani intelligence officers. At this meeting, which was under surveillance, it was stated by the Americans that the United States planned to launch military strikes against Afghanistan in October of that year. The purpose of these strikes was to topple the Afghanistan government and the Taliban in order to replace it with a government “more sensitive to the needs of American oil interests.”

In mid-August 2001, President of the Russian Federation Putin ordered that the American authorities be warned of pending attacks on government buildings inside the United States. This warning was conveyed to the US Ambassador in Moscow and via the Russian Ambassadors office directly to the US President.

On August 20, the Government of France, through the American Embassy in Paris and their Embassy in Washington, issued a more specific warning. This warning specified the exact date, time and places of the attacks.

On September 11, President Bush and top aides flew to the state of Florida so that the President could speak with children in a kindergarten. Also at that time, Vice President Cheney absented himself from Washington and went to the safety of the Presidential compound in the mountains of Maryland.

This may explain the van and dancing Israelis

That the Israeli government was fully aware of these attack is absolutely certain and proven. Diplomatic traffic between the Israeli Embassy in the Federal Republic and the Israeli Foreign Office made it very clear that Minister President Sharon was fully aware of this pending attack and urgently wished that no attempt was made to prevent the attacks.

Although the Israeli officials were instructed to warn the American intelligence community that some kind of an attack might be possible, at no time were the specific dates and targets (known at that time to Israeli officials) to be given to the Americans.

Read full article if interested.. The main thing IMO was the point made about the advance notice many in the government had been given by other security agencies.. Oil and a pipeline in Afghanistan was a reason for an Afghan government change and according to the article was already in the works. Reliable source (?) you decide.

Absolute nonsense. As Gordon says himself, half of the stuff posted on VT is propaganda. After reviewing this report, it is obvious that no spook would have stated half of this crap in 2002. I did not see any link to the original report or any corresponding website.....

Please post the original report which must be in GERMAN. otherwise, dump this in hoaxes...

I wondered if the British Government were aware of 9/11, I rather suspect they were.

In my lifetime there are a couple of things that I have seen that totally horrify me simply because those in power simply get away with their actions, yet the slightest law break carried out by Joe ordinary and our Joe gets punished often way beyond what is actually merited.

The first was Princess Diana's death and how blatantly she was assassinated and the second was 9/11. I will never forget watching it as it happened on my tv. A person waving a long scarf out of a window minutes before the floor they were on collapsed down. I sat and cried, it was as though they had taken my heart with them and indeed all those who suffered on that fateful day.

What irritates me with this is that the two parties involved with 9/11 the Arabs and the Jews, who like to fight and hate each other will get into bed with each other when it comes to the people in the rest of the world. Israel wouldn't exist without the assistance of non-Jewish people and to allow the murder of people who fund Isreal shows a level of treachery beyond belief. I wonder who will want to be best buddies with The House of Saud once Saudi's oil runs out as people have long memories?

Interesting stuff. I knew German intelligence passed some info on pre-9/11 - thought that was well known - didn't know about the Russians though.

Um. The only way this is "inconclusive" is if it's fake. If it's real it would be surely enough for a smoking gun. I do not believe it has yet been proven there was specific advanced knowledge and that the information was sidelined because of oil interest in the region.

If this is being disseminated in Germany though, and it's official paperwork, my guess is that it would be picked up by at least some other news agency. Many countries like to stir the pot.

Russia has lost positions in the ME since 911 and is currently fighting for Syria (unofficially).

I don't see why Russian interest would protect or fail to move on this information if they had it. Unless they are currently funding veterans today (tongue in cheek).

I really do agree with you on that! Just depends on what sight is quoted and what is their purpose/agenda. Some stuff is in your face and easy to take apart whereby others just make you go Hummmm.. V.T. today is one of those places where you never know what you are going to get and what is the purpose of some of the stuff they write other than to stir the pot ?

Thanks boncho: I looked and followed another link to the original blog/article.. Looks like a "Kill Capitalism before it kills you" kinda place with all the normal touchy feely B.S. that some like to espouse for the ills of the world. I hope I never live to see some of the stuff being pushed down the gullible throats of some of the young people of the world who did not live through socialism/communism and watch how the communist elite end up running the show.. "Well they didn't do it right" seems to be the common reply now as if they have any experience in the matter...

Well, although I can respect your opinion. I think if the communists won, they would be just as likely to have had a thriving society and capitalist countries would have greater disparity between rich and poor.

Think of SA, sharia law, basically operating under a bunch of old tribal traditions and yet they have some great things simply because of oil money. Lump Dubai in there because it's close to the same thing (stronger protection to visitors and less harsh on locals). While the first thought is, "yes those places lack personal freedoms" but then someone simply argues that the US has more people in jail than the entire world put together.

Capitalism, communism, fruby-tooby-schooisms. Forget the lot. Winners and losers, decent leaders and assholes. None are free from corruption or assholism.

I digress though I'm starting to run off on a tangent. You made a valid point though, if you look at the old Soviet Union, no matter what banner they flew or what -ism they were a part of, they were not the people you wanted as a world power.

What a bunch of bunk. The Germans didn't even know about the Hamburg cell was openly advocating jihad from 'the house of the followers' right under their noses. Over 30 different would be jadadist made there way through the Marienstraße apartment and came and went without any worries because of the ineptness of German intelligence-who spent all their time searching for 50 year old ghost.

Most prominent truthers would call this a plant to harm the movement because it is so far fetched and downright stupid. The 'House of the Followers' mocked the German intelligence for their cowardliness.

It is no coincidence that these row houses were rebuilt after a British incendiary attack in 1943 burned to death more that 20,000 old men, women and children.

Mohamed el-Amir was a lot of things but he was no fool-he knew what had went on here 50 years before and used it to incite his followers.

This is a tough one to call to be honest.

If it comes form the Germans (which it seems to) then there is lots of information that either they would not be privy to or that is not in any way really related to the accusation (such as Israel and oil contracts) and if it comes form the Americans it would have been, brunt then blasted into space. The entire thing reads like it has been created by a truther, there is no solid sources for the document either which again leads me to suspect that it is a fabrication.

What is interesting however is the date, 6 of August 2001, that is the exact same date as the infamous "Bin Laden determined to strike at America" memo popped up in the PDB. Whats also very interesting is that I done some checking and from what i can gather this briefing was given at Bush's Texas Ranch, according to this article the Ambassador told Bush about this personally at his ranch in Texas. In other words the dates match. if this is a hoax, its been done by someone who knows their stuff. Again also interesting to note is that shortly after this warning was allegidaly given the article states that the Americans tried to effectively shut up the Germans, whats interesting about this is that I done some digging and found out that Ambassador Ischinger ended his time as Ambassador in 2001.

Again this might be true, its not the first time i have read about this however the only Link i have found so far is this one.

In June 2001, German intelligence warned the US, Britain, and Israel that Middle Eastern terrorists were planning to hijack commercial aircraft and use them as weapons to attack “American and Israeli symbols which stand out.” Within the American intelligence community, “the warnings were taken seriously and surveillance intensified” but “there was disagreement on how such terrorist attacks could be prevented.” This warning came from Echelon, a spy satellite network that is partly based in Germany. [Frankfurter Allgemeine Zeitung, 9/11/01, Washington Post, 9/14/01]

I would however also point out that some have said that this threat was believed to relate to the G8 meeting that year and as such defenses where increased.

Overall I would have to say that this report is hard to judge, on the one hand reading it, it seems to be a fabrication, it just stinks of truther propaganda. In the context of everything else surrounding the 9/11 saga i find it very hard to believe that someone could have given Bush the exact date and nothing was done about this I also think its very "trutherish" to say that it was all about Bush family oil and Israel. However at the same time if this is a fabrication its half decent, its by someone who knows their stuff and so far its stood up to my fact checking (which is in no way infallible).

As such before i would jump the gun and call this a out right hoax i would first want to see some further details on the origin of the document, I strongly suspect hoax, but i am still open to the idea it could be ligit if we can find some more information regarding its origin.

You and i seem to have broadly similar understandings of what went on that day and the deep history leading up to it, that is why I stated in my post that when we look at this in the context of wider 9/11 saga this report does not make much sense.

However if we are truly passionate about the truth (as i assume you are) we cannot ignore something like this just because it contradicts our current understanding. We either have to "debunk" it or incorporate it into our wider understanding that is why I also think that we need some more information as to the origins of this report so we can appraise it further. To simply dismiss it i think would be embracing ignorance.

I personally think that this is a hoax, I believe it is a well thought out fabrication by someone who knows what they are talking about.

But i without further information i cannot be certain and as such I think we on ATS need to discuss it more and find out more about where the report came from.

And there are more authors on 9/11 out there than Ali Soufan, sure he wrote a very good book on the subject but their are others. However i do agree with your assessment of the failings of German intelligence which again further enforces the idea that this is a elaborate hoax. I just think that we should find out a little bit more about it before we demand it gets sent to the Hoax Bin, thats all.

Princess Diana alive would have prevented Charles from bringing Camilla to the Throne because many of the public would never have accepted an adulteress sitting on the throne of England, especially when hubby is Head of the Church of England - happy royal families and all that, their only job these days is to supposedly set an example - otherwise why have them at all? She was worried about being killed and certainly would never have got into a car with a drunken driver - or do you think she would?
