There is no science in this, whatsoever.
Therefore since lifeforms are a vessel made of energy requiring energy to sustain life , It would appear to me that our energy would then transform into another form or energy or energies as stated by the law of conservation of energy .
Which really surprises me that more physicists nor the scientific community hasn't really done more studies on this using the latest technologies in detecting energy changes. At least that I'm aware of

It's an interesting theory but it doesn't really prove much.
None of us know with any certainty what happens after we die.
For all we know were in the Truman Show
Do you think it is something that is separate from our brain's chemical functions, and is it something that can be separated from (i.e., exist outside of) our brain's chemical functions?
I agree... it is just a term
we call it consciousness as we call table a table, girl a girl and so on

A greater question would be does consciousness really exist (and I mean consciousness as a separate defined "thing")?
Really one of the few things I really know exists, is consciousness. It is something I directly experience..
??? how exactly ??
Or we really don't have a "separate thing" called a consciousness at all, and consciousness in humans is just the perceived result of chemicals in the brain.
Perhaps when we die, those chemicals stop doing their thing, and so goes our brain and our perceived consciousness.
If we are indeed conscious because of the quantum information kept within the microtubules of our physical brains when the body is killed how is that not dispersed across the infinite numbers of universe he believes the multiverse contains?
It's an interesting theory but it doesn't really prove much.

Okay. Allowing for the reality that consciousness moves to another universe after physical death, the question to ask is: what is the power source that keeps consciousness existing?

It is a fair question. But you could equally ask what is the power source that keeps the universe here or allows time to flow..
