I come from a long line of farmers - both sides of my family - and I do love the land... its in my blood somehow. Nothing in the world like it. My
parents, both of them, grew up dirt poor. My dad did not have a pair of shoes until he was 12 years old. But money.... isn't all its cracked up to be,
and in the country... we can survive..

From South Africa: Bok Van Blerk - "Tyd Om Te Trek" (Time to Trek).
Unfortunately, unlike Van Blerk's other hits like "De La Rey" or "Die Kaplyn" this song doesn't yet have a clip with an Afrikaans-English translation
that I can find, but I'm sure people will enjoy the video and melody.

A group of Kalahari San (Bushmen) from Botswana perform their traditional songs in the athlete's village.
What becomes astounding is the multi-layered voices of the women.
It must have been great to walk or drive through the desert and dunes for days, and then one runs into a village where they perform this complex kind
of music.
This is the song I would leave behind, because I wrote it.
I thought I saw someone post some Circa Survive but I guess I was only hallucinating. soundcloud.com...
