Yeah it seems to be the closed mindedness of some people...the 'my way or no way' attitude causes the friction. Acceptance of new ideas can be frightening to some.

Is there any type of security available for neighborhoods and schools?

In reading through posts again, I see that I come off as very insensitive, and I wish to apologize to any and all readers. This sort of behavior upsets me so badly, I feel like I could explode!

Why, in the name of all that is decent, do people need to fight in civilian areas?
I realize insurgents hide in these types of places, which certainly doesn't speak highly of their values.

Very true. And Ill bet your friend would try like heck to get along with the radicals....whereas....they wont, and want to keep killing to get their points across.

Thats very sad for them...
