I think, from that response, we might be seeing different things. I quickly sketched out two pictures to show what it is *I* am seeing.

Pic one, with two blue guys:

Pic two with the first blue guy hiding, and the robotic arm:

This is incredible, Libertygal! What a talent you've got there in visualizing things the old-school way ... even 'if' the original MSL imagery is not detailed enough to make out the real edges, this artwork is so cute and impressive that it deserves our recognition! Well done, chapeau!!

Those drawings are so cute! Thanks for posting them.

I've been looking at the gif and trying to see the raised arm and am missing it (I see where you indicate but just see rocks and photo artifact). The lounging blue guy's face in the second is, sadly, just a reflection off of the rock (but I like your portrayal much better). The two pictures, taken from different angles at different times, throw up a smoke-screen (or sand screen) around the objects which we see so clearly in the first picture. If wishes were horses, we'd all win the Kentucky Derby every year!

Thanks, I was just feeling frustrated, as I wasn't sure anyone was seeing what I was seeing, so I felt motivated to try to explain it better. What better way? Heheh.

Okay, I found the original sol image, posted on page 16 of the thread, the link, that is. Almost the last post. On page 17, Funbox made the animated gif to which I am referring.

All of the other anomalies in that image are there, including the horned skull and the thing that looks like a gas can. Both are circled on the far left. In the middle are the goat/dog things, and the bulb with the tulip shaped thing coming out of it. Unfortunately, I drew the circle right over the lever with the ball handle.

And, on the right, in the large area, is the cooking pot with the lid off.

I did copy the animated gif, and though I cannot see it on my phone, it appears I may be able to share it. Crossing my fingers! Look for the robotic arm.

ETA - And, watching, zoomed in, on the animated gif, if you watch the robotic arm, look at the pincher hand. There is a rock behind it, it apears to be almost a mossy color. When the arm comes into view, you can see the rock through the pincher hand. This tells me the pincher hand is in the foreground, just as it appears, up in the air, not an illusion on the ground. You can see the ground around, and behind it. That would only be possible if the arm were raised and in the air.

If this were tge case, then, it would have been visible in the first sol image, which it is not. It's an obvious change, and only one that I chose to focus on, aside from the blue guys. Many other things have changed, or been moved, and it's far more than a matter of perspective, which I understand, being an artist.

I do also understand illusions, but I do not agree this is one, nor do I think the horned skull is. The other objects, the jury is still out. I would love to see the cooking pot from another perspective. It looks like an ancient dust covered bottle stands behind it.

match up pretty well me thinks , although im thinking the robotic arm is more of a stylus, and the wheel is where blue it drops his records , shame we don't have more pics showing that

The gifs are wonderful, thank you for taking the time, friend! You are so sweet to humor me. And oh so kind.

The new pics are wonderful! They chased away the blue guys and the robot!

Made my time at the doctors' office not quite so bad. It was a bad night, and this helped me pass the time. Thanks for that.

If it's the same ring why change the position of the ellipse?

First pic

Now you have moved it.

Look at the blue line thats what your ellipse was drawn over in the picture above but now

It's drawn inside?

The problem is when you infer on here something looks like a regular geometric shape the implication taken by many on here is it cant be natural and as we know nature can and indeed does make regular shaped objects.

So I guess the now missing white stripes on the big now twisty looking rock were pixilation?

. ahoy
I haven't had a great deal of time to look between the pics and see the differences, I think a gif might be a bit too confusing on the eye, the angles and levels of detail may vary to much, ill look into it later and see if a legible gif can be made, no time tonight , but , oddly casino time, wish me luck
