BFFT I got head hunted today

The job is an hour each way to travel, but depending the package they offer and the quality they produce I might take it, we'll see.

Interview is tomorrow at 16:45

You guys...
Really, your wives are very lucky.

Our favorite quality times are either going out for Chinese dinner, or staying home and watching one of our favorite tv shows together.
He does come clothes shopping with me, but that's because he knows a lot of people, and can always get me a discount. He's a salesman, so he knows where to shop.

But he has no idea about shoes, so he leaves that to me.

Btw. I found an amazing amount of fantasy / fairy avatars today, I'll be working on them for weeks!

Hi Rainbow your new avatar is quite lovely! It's so beautiful the way you
added the final touches. I haven't even delved into the brushes I have yet...LOL!
There is SO much to learn, but alot of fun.

Nope

I want it to be pure, I kinda think the image should speak for itself if you get what I mean.

Less is more in this case

Much appreciate all the effort put in so far Bro

Hugs to you and your's

Thanks Ektar

Unless my wages go up significantly the petrol costs alone will not make it worth while, but it's nice to have options my friend

Hello Ektar,

Thanks dear.
She looks a lot like Belle, one of my favorite Disney characters (Beauty and the Beast).

I will keep her for this month , lol.
I'm already working on my April Avatar, and yes wait til you get to the brushes. It's so much fun.

Hi guys

That all went very well indeed. I was called earlier and asked to go in early afternoon instead.

I was offered the job and a very generous pay rise, but the journey is a nightmare and I would have to leave at 5:30am in order to guarantee getting there on time and wouldn't be home until 7pm.

Its a long day and that's before overtime starts, I was crunching the figures in my head as we spoke and I'd be about £60 a week better off after paying for petrol (My costs would go from £20 a week to over £100, I brimmed the car this morning and checked on the way home £22 a day) so it's not really worth the extra hassle.

I told the boss I was going for an interview as well, and he said if I get it he'll consider a pay rise.

So I haven't refused the job but asked for a day to think it over, and will see what Mrs C has to say about it later.

It was my old boss from a previous company that recommended me to them, I was over the moon.

So hold the front page

Hope all is well with all you talented young people

WHEW WHOOO Cody! You go dude! You have everything in your favor &
an old boss, you must be bloody flying high! It's so wonderful when things work
out in your favor at the same time which actually allow you not just choices
but better ones...especially with current boss wanting to keep you with a raise!

So happy for you! I definitely know what you mean on time & miles traveling &
more times than not it isn't worth it at our age...beginners yes but after years
of paying your dues not usually.

Cheers
Ektar

Sounds to me like you are set up to leverage the new job for a raise at the old job.

Bad news in West Texas.....dust storm. I went out to have a smoke, and noticed that Amarillo and Lubbock had just blown through.

Even worse: stomach bug hit my house, Started with mom last night. The boy this morning. My wife is texting me now telling me how bad her life is, too. I already warned the troops that i may not be in tomorrow if it hits me. They all looked at me like i was crazy ("Oh, yea...i bet. You're going to be 'sick'.....")

Sorry the family is sick!! I know how tough that can be. Hope you escape whomever's "revenge" this mini-monster is allegorical for...

If we don't see you for a bit, we'll know... Here's some chicken soup for you...

that soup looks really good.

we make a "redneck" corn chowder with cornbread croutons that I am in the mood for tonight. The "redneck" part comes in the drizzling of chili oil on it.
