I was thinking.....How about a magical, white, winter wolf?



I love wolves. I was told once that I had 2 totem animals: a wise goat, and a strong silver wolf. I think they are beautiful creatures.

I've moved the wolf up a bit, it shouldn't look like it's sniffing your stats now LOL.

I think it should be a bit better

I was also wondering where Dollukka has gone.....BFFT was funny, but right with the Superman / Clark Kent example. I chuckled out loud. Had to explain to dear husband what I was laughing about.

Enjoy your TV hun I've the whole weekend off so I'll be spending some quality time watching/helping Mrs C mark tests LOL, it's the rock and roll lifestyle I lead.

one day it is a Roaring Dragon,

My Dragons are something,

Haha gotcha ! Yep i have been playing civiization beoynd earth when i have found time for it. I have tried all affinities in the game and came to conclusion you gotta start with Harmony and trying to stay out of trouble

I'm also still alive but I'm busy with some wolfs...

This morning, after many failed attempts, I deceided to buy a grapic board (one of those boards you can actually use a pen to draw lines in PS)....What a difference. I'm having a blast!!

Final result will still have to wait because I'm only half way through the inking part. After that....coloring!!!

Here's the progress so far..(it's my first time drawing something beside stick figures so please don't look too critical)



Back to inking...(thinking about adding a third wolf...hmmm)

Just wondering if anyone could touch up one part of my avatar for me?



Templar made this awesome avatar for me but after I turned it black and white and added some noise, the numbers on the patch became blurry. Hard for anyone to see what they are without looking closely.

The numbers are 4 8 15 16 23 42.

I hope you find a way to do this for a living. My father always said figure out what you love, then figure out how to make that your career and you will always be happy.

I think this would make a good career path for you - your a natural. Graphic Artist. Your talent impresses me.

Thanks for the complement but I'm sure most could do this... just takes a lots of coffee and a graphic board.

I have seriously always wanted to draw/paint but could never get anything half decent on paper. I've got the oil-paints, canvases, charcoal, waterpaint and every book there is on drawing and painting......never could get the hang of it.

I really hope PS is my thing. There is so much to work through and if you see some of the professionals you kind of loose hope. But I will keep on trying because atm it's just too much fun!!!

I gave the "wolfs" some rest today (because I'm still inking and it will probably take me till next week before I finish those) and I really want to play with colors!!

I drew some weird fish to try out light, shadow and other effects....



It's pretty clear to me now that sketching and inking a drawing is only half the work (if not less)!! The real work is in seperating layers and finding colors and shadows for your project....pffff

It's kind of like putting on make-up.....and being a manly-man (ahum) I have really no experience or feeling for this. I hope this can also be learned... we'll see.

I noticed the same with shadow, its like going back to art class all over again and remembering how to make that perfect pear or circle again... its as much if not more in the proper shadows and highlights as in the piece itself.

The thing I like about Photoshop, is your main shadow is easy because you can just make a copy of the piece, take all saturation out of it add gaussian blur and then distort that layer for your main shadow.. But its still about the little shadows and little highlights. The better we get with the little the better our pieces become!
