This is what I have been trying, and it seems to always squish the picture a lot. I guess I'm just attempting it with pictures that are way to large?

I think i lost you here, when you drag picture as a new layer you can resize the layer using edit-> free transform

it scales the layer only and if you kept shift key down when you dragged the layer to new document it lands perfectly in the center.



use the procentual tool do not squish it .. now i figured out what you were talking.. i got lost in translation

it comes with free transform tool it opens that table ( options bar ) in above working space.

I'm supposed to right click that and change it to pixels or is there something different? The only options I see are to change from %. Unless I'm missing something

I use procentual usually, if the layer is too big i reduce W(width) and H(hight) both same procentual amount.
Or you can resize the layer this way
edit->free transform and...

I can't decide which one to use *lol*, but I really LOVE snarky's one, so I will use that first and rotate once a month or so with the other great ones

Snarky's is way ahead of mine but it was fun to do.

I can't for the life of me find where I can change my font color... Can anyone point me in the right direction please? I can't see icons, only white rectangles here and there, because the images don't load for some reason. So please be a little specific

Thank you. While I was making this avatar I kept hearing the song 'World' by Five For Fighting in my mind.
One of my favorite bands. The song talks about creating everything new from scratch, and starting a better world.
