Just for reference, I posted one of these threads last year. Check it out and see if anyone got anything right.

Post your 2013 predictions here!

I predict a big correction in the stock market too. I do predict that because of this the government will start bringing manufacturing back to the USA to stimulate job creation. They are already starting to get small businesses rolling with low cost loans, but are doing it in a way involving banks that lend to any small business without appropriate research on a companies viability.

I get calls all the time trying to lend my business a lot of money. I just hang up, I do not want a half a mil debt over my head. If I got able to work, I could build up my business fast without a big loan payment. Scrupulous people or people who haven't a clue of what building a real business is about will jump at these loans and flop. The ten percent who do make it will not be worth it. These seem to be government guaranteed loans, at least some imply this.

First, Yellowstone will not erupt.
Second, No alien race will reveal themselves to mankind.
Third, The Canary islands will not crash into the sea and send a great tsunami rushing toward the east coast of the united states.
Fourth, California will not tumble into the sea
Fifth, Jesus will not come again.
Sixth, We will not agree on just who the antichrist is or was
Seventh, and my last prediction, a great meteor will not end all life on earth.

Now i am sorry to tell you these things because i know life is much more exciteing when
there is danger around every corner, but sometimes, in fact most times life is just boring.

Here are my predictions for 2014.

Queen Elizabeth will finally give up the ghost. All the attention paid to the English pedophile scandals will make it hard for her to obtain the fresh born babies she needs to devour to keep extending her life.

Prince Charles will NOT rise to the throne of England.

There will be an assassination attempt on good Pope Francis. He will be shot in the face by a schizophrenic nut-job spurred on by people in the financial industry. The Pope will survive but, will lose an eye from the attack forcing him to wear a white eye-patch. The attack only serves to lighten his disposition and he becomes more welcoming and friendly to the public, much to the despair of his security team.

In economics; People become more aware of the grand thievery which underlies the practice of banking. More move their money to Credit Unions in protest and a new form of widespread protest breaks out; people begin taking out unsecured credit lines on credit cards and such and then, en mass, walk away from their credit card debt, leaving the banksters holding the bag. Congress responds with a draconian set of debtors laws, allowing the banksters to seize assets and imposing jail sentences for bad debt management.

The vast majority of the American people rise up to protest the laws, storming the capitol and protesting for five days strait before being expelled by federal troops. After all the public outcry, the laws pass with broad bi-partisan support and are signed into law the same day by Obama. People begin speaking openly about hanging the banksters and their accomplices in Washington.

There will be a combination of climatic events, economic and financial turmoil and warmongering in Africa and in the Middle East. The cold war is restarting, UKraine being the latest known event : that is the west of the ex Soviet Union. The US continues its containment policy of the ex Soviet Union : far east (Japan versus China), south of the ex Soviet Union : Afghanistan, Iran, and in the north of the ex Soviet Union there is nothing. Beware of the new cold war and of all the areas bordering Russia (the ex Soviet Union). The cold war is also affecting Syria, otherwise that would be over for a long time.
Beware of Africa : ethnical conflicts combined with overpopulation and greed by foreign and indigenous powers will cause rivers of blood.
Beware of the new emerging countries : they will grasp more and more resources and continue polluting and deforestating, but their population will cry for more justice, welfare and democracy (India, Brasil, Thailand...).
The fight for the resources will get worse. New resources need to be found. New energy sources. The power of the wahabist arab countries will soon falter, exactly for that reason. The world will no longer buy their dirty oil, and they will no longer finance islamic expansion in Europe and in muslim countries, including Syria.THey are the ones who are triggering religion war against islam, although they are protected by the US.
In Europe, poverty will increase, industry continues to leave to the countries where labour is cheaper, social security systems can not be financed any longer by our governments, beware of the relationship with muslim immigrants and also east europeans immigrants.
People in the rich western world will continue looking for new spiritual fulfilment, new reasons of living, new goals of life. Psychological diseases, homeless peoples, drug and alcohol abuse, all these will continue.
PUblic health will be at risk : infections, flue, brought on by the globalization and increase of travel and tourism, but also bad food, such as meat produced with antibiotics and making meat eaters totally vulnerable to infections or pesticides, industrial chemistry added to food, etc.
I see several crises,

Thanks for the link FortAnthem. I'm going through the thread now looking for any notable hits! If I find any I will point them out here, and likely mention them on Reality Remix's upcoming show on January 1st.

ETA - It is interesting to note, that not one, not one prediction predicted Snowden or a whistle blower event regarding the NSA.
That would have been a nifty one to peg, but alas, I suppose it was an unforeseeable event!

NeoCrusader has an interesting prediction post from 2012 for the year 2013, that in my estimations seems to be pretty close to the mark! Here it is. There are a few others I'll be drawing attention to - but this particular post by far is the most impressive!

CdT

Neocrusader
Things are going to get bad.......very bad

Further clampdowns on the freedoms you have seen attacked this year
Increase in taxation, increase in part time work ruducing unemployment but increaseing gov dependency and control
Increase in international tensions between the US China and Russia
Further militarisation of domestic forces
Western forces in Syria
Increase in tensions with Iran
More western forces in Africa
Decrease in oil prices
Tensions in South America
Increase in corporate control / Monsanto in Europe and Africa

Things come to a head in 2014

Just saying 2014 sounds ominous lol

Late 2014 / 2015 is when things may have gone to far and things change for the better

Cropper may not have hit all his targets for passing away in the year 2013, but he did manage to hit one! Margaret Thatcher.

Cropper
I have a feeling there will be civil unrest in the UK, due to mass immigration, and severe austerity measures it will kick off big time.

Here's a few well known people that I think will sadly pass away this year...

Keith Richards - Margaret Thatcher - Jerry Lewis - Michael Cain - Stephen Hawking

Also, watch out for expected and unexpected deaths within the UK royal family.

While not right on the money, I felt Olaru12, deserved a spot for his 2013 predictions. Some of which ring alarmingly close to what we saw come to pass this past year.

olaru12
More school, mall, theater, crowd shooting sprees.

Citizen patrols and plain clothes LEOs looking for suspicious people!

checkpoints along the interstate.

TSA/DHS ranks swelling to an Internal peace keeping force and armed.

Drastic curtailing of freedom of assembly!

Video cameras watching everywhere.

Total militarization of Law enforcement agencies.

War, rampant paranoia, A new nationalism/fascism, War,

Keep your eye on Yellowstone!!!

An astonishing outbreak of strange religious end of the world cults tied to militias

For a peek into the Future read Kurt Vonnegut and wear your sunscreen.

Hey, I thought I got a pretty good hit on my "no alien disclosure" prediction. Although they still have 3 days left to show up.

...or was that alines I said wouldn't turn up. Either way, I'm still right.

No no no.

It's sorta like giving credit to those that predict others will have predictions.

Thanks for pointing that thread out. I had a lot of fun reading through them with this past year in mind.

All of these are obvious (based on trends). No precog here...

Inflation will continue to climb. Hyperinflation if government doesn't do something (which will not be a long term fix anyway). This is in part to the monetary system and also due to food shortages due to crop failures and possible disease.

More strife with Iran as they push back at the bullying (perceived or justified - not picking sides for this thread). Basically - more war and rumors of war over there. That's not going to change. North Korea will make some more threats - specifically on holidays and will showcase more weapons.

Now for some riskier ones:

Unprecedented animal die offs. The year 2010 I believe was out biggest with the last three coming too close to be natural causes or coincidence. This year may top all previous years.

I sensed a black out sometime earlier this year - had a dream of one (a big city lost lights - New York sized).

Bigger earthquake near a volcano in the northwest (a 4.5 or above).

Otherwise - I think were all going to have a great year. We will prosper and have happiness and peace in our lives and be the change we want to see the world become. With the wrongs being done we will be active in asserting what we can of ourselves to create change but it will be done in a positive way - rather than in a manner that creates conflict. This approach will begin a trend that will take hold - and be massively effective for progress by the end of the year (toward righting the wrongs of the environment in any case).

By the way - the OP's predictions make me want to dig a hole in the ground and hide.
. I know - say it and it won't happen so glad you talked about it - if that has been your experience.

Technology is going to make leaps and bounds this year. Upset in the stock market (either it will be another steep recession but could be full blown depression). Apple is the leading tech company this year coming (for what reason I am clueless). Yeah buy some stock in Apple if you can. It will be very fruitful.
There is going to be something exposed some kind of fallacy we all have been told that is going to be blown wide open. I don't know anything more than that. It could be anything really. I can't think of anything else now.

I've got a prediction:

1] more trouble in the European Community.

2] Euro - nose dives.

3] riots and angst.

4] lies and more lies from our political class.

Now you're just showing off. Lol, those are easy based on probabilities.

To increase state revenue, drug tests will be required to get a driver's license and a business license. Random tests will also be required throughout the year to keep license.

A private space agency will release the best UFO footage ever.

The economy will implode on itself as the market becomes oversaturated with foreign goods, causing excess overstock, resulting in a harsh, but mini recession.

Middle class will continue to shrink, crime increase.

Congress will vote themselves another raise.

Vitamins will eventually be banned for overcounter sale. Will only be allowed if prescribed by doctor.

There will be a lottery over a billion dollars. Government will propose to make a national lottery, deducted from your paycheck based on your new citizen i.d. number.

A drone delivering a package will cause a massive car pileup.

Life will be found inside Mars underground in a cave.
