Kim has made threats the whole time he's been in power. He doesn't have the balls to attack S. Korea. China is prolly on the phone with him right now b*tching him out.

After careful consideration and deliberation, following much study....I've come to a conclusion about Mr Kim.

He has an Ego problem.

I rate this as being as newsworthy as Lindsay Lohan falling off the wagon again. The North Koreans have been issuing toothless threats against South Korea for decades. The fact they did it via fax is simply amusing.

What was not mentioned in the OP was that the fax was catapulted (whilst still in the fax machine) into the South Korean National Security Council.

Kim still hasn't figured out how to turn it on yet!

Its not the nukes you should be worried about. From what defectors have said his stockpile of chemical and bio weapons will be the reall killers.

I've actually been surprised to learn over my research on that whole thing, just how often and serious the DPRK/ROK-US clashes have been in almost childish ways. Silly stuff for what caused it but not silly for very local outcomes. (The infamous Battle of the Cherry Tree comes to mind)

I really can't wait for the day when North Korea acts stupidly and gets decimated by both SK and the US... Not because I like war, but I like the idea of this young kid being put in his place once and for all....

I think the old faxes of one's xeroxed butt would be an appropriate response.

I am baffled by the NK situation. We have an unstable country, with an unstable leader, that has tested nuclear bombs, and continues to threaten the US and her allies and our response is a few military maneuvers in that region. Maybe if the little man threatens Israel then we'll take 'em out.

It makes no sense.
