Some people ask how Israel’s re-birth could be the sign that starts the clock running on the end times when there’s no mention of it in Matt. 24. It’s true, in the Olivet Discourse the Lord never came right out and said Israel would cease to exist and then be re-born 2,000 years later. But there are clear prophecies of just such a thing in the Old Testament. For example Moses warned the people at least twice of the terrible things that would happen if they rejected the Lord. In Deut. 4:25-27 he said their disobedience would cause the Lord to scatter them among the nations. Then in Deut 4:30 He said that in the latter days during a time of tribulation they would return to the Lord and obey Him again. And starting in Deut. 28:15 Moses listed the disasters that would come upon them, culminating in verses 63 and 64 when he said they would be up rooted from the land and scattered among the nations, from one end of the Earth to the other. And once again, he said, even if they had been banished to the most distant land under the heavens, the Lord would bring them back (Deut. 30:4), and if they agreed to obey His covenant again He would make them prosperous, and then He would circumcise their hearts (see Romans 2:28-29), put their enemies to flight, and delight in them again. Deut 30:1-10 is a clear summary of End Times events. They’ll be brought back into the land, their enemies will be cursed and their covenant will be restored (Ezekiel 38-39), their hearts will be circumcised (Zechariah 12:10), and their prosperity will be restored (Isaiah 65:17-25). This sequence of events is coming to pass today, just as Moses said it would.
the Lord had Ezekiel say,
” But you, O mountains of Israel, will produce branches and fruit for my people Israel, for they will soon come home. I am concerned for you and will look on you with favor; you will be plowed and sown, and I will multiply the number of people upon you, even the whole house of Israel. The towns will be inhabited and the ruins rebuilt. I will increase the number of men and animals upon you, and they will be fruitful and become numerous. I will settle people on you as in the past and will make you prosper more than before. Then you will know that I am the LORD. I will cause people, my people Israel, to walk upon you. They will possess you, and you will be their inheritance; you will never again deprive them of their children.” (Ezekiel 36:8-13)
While this was partially fulfilled after the Babylonian captivity, the people were driven off the land again in the first century AD, so the complete fulfillment had to begin sometime after that. Earlier, Isaiah had prophesied that there would be a second return, and his contemporary Amos said that after that one they would never be uprooted again. So that’s the one we’re looking for.
In that day the Lord will reach out his hand a second time to reclaim the remnant that is left of his people from Assyria, from Lower Egypt, from Upper Egypt, from Cush, from Elam, from Babylonia, from Hamath and from the islands of the sea. (Isaiah 11:11)
I will bring back my exiled people Israel; they will rebuild the ruined cities and live in them. They will plant vineyards and drink their wine; they will make gardens and eat their fruit. I will plant Israel in their own land, never again to be uprooted from the land I have given them,” says the LORD your God. (Amos 9:14-15)
According to history the second fulfillment officially began in 1948.
“This generation will certainly not pass away until all these things have happened” (Matt. 24:34).
Predictions[edit]
Some notable predictions of the date of the rapture include the following:
1844: William Miller predicted that Christ would return between March 21, 1843 and March 21, 1844, then revised his prediction, claiming to have miscalculated Scripture, to October 22, 1844. The realization that the predictions were incorrect resulted in a Great Disappointment. Miller's theology gave rise to the Advent movement. The Baha'is believe that Christ did return as Miller predicted in 1844, with the advent of the Báb, and numerous Miller-like prophetic predictions from many religions are given in William Sears' book, Thief in The Night.[71]
1914,[72] 1918,[73] and 1925:[74] Various dates predicted for the rapture by the Jehovah's Witnesses.
1981: Chuck Smith predicted that Jesus would probably return by 1981.[75]
1988: Publication of 88 Reasons Why the Rapture Is in 1988, by Edgar C. Whisenant.
1989: Publication of The Final Shout: Rapture Report 1989, by Edgar Whisenant. This author made further predictions of the rapture for 1992, 1995, and other years.
1992: A Korean group, the Mission for the Coming Days, predicted that the rapture would occur on October 28, 1992.[76]
1993: Multiple predictions were given for 1993, seven years before the year 2000; the rapture would have to start to allow for seven years of the tribulation before the return in 2000.
1994: Pastor John Hinkle of Christ Church in Los Angeles predicted that the rapture would occur on June 9, 1994. Radio evangelist Harold Camping predicted September 6, 1994.[77]
2011: Harold Camping's revised prediction had May 21, 2011 as the date of the rapture.[78][79] After this prediction proved inaccurate, he claimed that a non-visible "spiritual judgement" had taken place, and that the physical rapture would occur on October 21, 2011. The physical rapture prediction also proved inaccurate.[80]

I don't know what is worse honestly;
That there are people who have so horribly misunderstood the Bible that they believe in the popular conception of 'rapture',
or those who are looking forward to it and waiting for it.

I got some bad news for these people. If they want this world to get better; they need to get off their butts and get out there and make a difference .. No one is ever going to come and show you an evil way.
And honestly; I would love to see something like Jesus turn up on Earth; coming on the clouds; and when he gets here and people are like 'THANK GOD YOU'RE HERE!', he looks around and goes; "Couldn't you guys have started fixing up the place without me?"

Right! And after you really think about it and learn how many other texts, Gospels, Gnostic writings that were left out of "The Bible". How can you believe a document to be 'God's Words/Inspired' when they describe Adam as living for over 900 years of age, or poor Moses who after doing what God asked: "Lead his children to the Promised Land" and then after 40 years, Moses gets all these people there, and then God tells Moses, umm, no you can't go there because you hit the rock the wrong way to produce water for the people?
Basically, I am just calling all this 'Rapture' stuff a nice fun, scary story for the times back then, 2000 years ago, but it's time, people have come and gone. I certainly do not see The Dome of The Rock, on the Temple Mount falling into the hands of the Jews in the next 2 - 10 years.....just another fake prediction so the new 2012 is 2021.....oh boy.....Don't we have better things to do and worry about?

I think a fun thing to do is on the next predicted rapture date. leave a pile of clothes, shoes, socks, pants, shirt and glasses if you wear them on the floor.
When your family wakes up and sees this they will be shocked and dismayed thinking they got left behind!
Than you can jump out from your hiding place and exclaim...... SURPRISE!!!!
And everyone will have a good laugh

I'd highly avoid getting locked into a timeframe. I know someone who did that. Caused a lot of damage as a result, because the people she was influencing believed her. then when it didn't happen they realized she had made a big mistake. People had put there lives on hold because they believed her prediction. The bible says "we don't know the day or the hour". But it's good that you are aware of what could happen.
I believe that they'll blame it on aliens and use it as a means to institue the NWO on a massive scale.
Why the rebirth of israel is a sign of the end times.

Why the rebirth of israel is a sign of the end times.
Well, I'd say that its a kind of a sign. Much like how the false Christ appears before the real one, it appears that a false Israel has appeared before the righteous kingdom.
The reality is that Israel is around 30% atheist. Israel is also a hub for gay tourism, with gay pride parades being held even in Jerusalem... the very land that Jesus and the prophets walked on! Israel also has one of the highest rates of prostitution in the world with its sex trade raking in 2 billion a year. Further, Israel is also known to mock and insult the central figure of Christianity, Jesus on national TV.
So with all of its open debauchery, homosexuality, prostitution and anti-Christianity, Israel CANNOT be the prophesied holy Biblical kingdom, as fantasized by many Christians.... but rather it is an unholy abomination, literally an anti-Christian state.

Well said! I'll add that Zionist-Occupied Palestine is a hub for pornography and the human body-parts trade.
You mock me for calling Israel a sign,
did you even go to the site read what was said, and see if it made sense with the rest of Scripture?
