Clashes between police and groups who wanted to surround the Congress.

The protest, called this afternoon by the Coordinating 25S platform to surround the Congress of Deputies to protest the new Public Safety Act, which limits social protests, this has resulted in a succession of police raids and clashes between some participants and National Police.

About 2,000 people seconded the call to protest the law Fernández

The law against which the protests were called, will punish as following:


Very serious offenses (fines of 30,001 to 600,000 euros):

Unreported or prohibited meetings or demonstrations in places that are considered critical infrastructure such as nuclear power plants or airports as well as intrusion into their enclosures.
Clashes between police and groups who wanted to surround the Congress

Manufacturing, trading and illegal possession of *uncatalogued* weapons and explosives.


Serious offenses (1001-30000 euros):

Unreported meetings in front of state institutions such as the Congress, the Senate, the regional parliaments or the high courts.

Altering public order wearing a hood.

Disobey or resist enforcement officials and the refusal to identify

Obstructing authority in the execution of administrative or judicial decisions, such as evictions.

Lack of cooperation with the police in the investigation or prevention of crime.

Climbing public or historic buildings as a form of protest.

Essentially they are about to approve a law which will make it really expensive to protest.

Basically saying if you protest we will ruin you financially.

Effectively these just seem like monitary charges for wanting to kill those who repeatedly screw the masses. That is priceless, so maybe it's a bargain.

I have a feeling Spain is about to have some issues. TPTB are setting the stage and you had better believe if they are making laws like this they know something is coming.

Honestly it would be better if Spain had a heavier hand on itself in an effort to cut the fat and fatten the thin.

Spain is an awesome country. *SNIP* If all are in agreement or not is irrelevant sometimes. That is supposed to always be improving anyways. What is not irrelevant is any voice of from the citizenry. That must always be heard.

Its not about tradition or nostalgia when people wish to stand before the offices of their nation entrusted with their EVERYTHING...and in mass demand transparency and modern SPANISH core values. All internationalism and outside influence aside, Spain needs to get back to basics. Telling those you entrusted your EVERYTHING to that you would like direct council is to be expected for a functional society to maintain and if possible to do more than JUST survive in the long run (and sometimes poorly at that as well).

Speakers and microphones do EXIST you know. Official responses to Mass Gatherings should be handled like CIVILIZED people have gathered for thousands of years so as to work towards the group prosperity. It should NOT be encouraged to respond to all criticism like banana happy monkey man animals....on either side of the "line".

There should be ORGANIZATION and ORDER in the nature of the response given by a democratic government to its people.

If the response is more sever than helpful, you then create disorder in the people. A primitive civilization may wish to handle mass gatherings of this nature by Screaming "hush!" to those who express their lives. It is just that they should express themselves into the world by the simple justification that because Humanity CAN SPEAK inclines humanity to have a voice to be heard, AND RESPONDED TO.

Reacting by impulse of emotional banana coveting, the inner primate surfaces and we act so terribly human.
