That's an absolute disgrace and outrage.

And people ask why 9/11 is still relevant 12 years later..

Take a look around, and note everything's that happened as a result of that Big Lie.

Damn...no wonder every other country in the world hates us.Its sad really,we are suppose to be the worlds "police",all we ever do is kill.

America is doing a better public relations campaign for the terrorists than the ones they do themselves.

We're practically recruiting and creating terrorists on a daily basis. And people ask when the "War on Terror" will end. SMH.

And on a wedding day? Really?

Sometimes I wonder if these drone operators are told they are flying simulations so that their morality doesn't come into play. Something similar to Ender's Game.

Obama may have been able to justify the drones when they took out the top leaders but as soon as he saw the horrific damage being done to civilians he should have immediately stopped it.

This indicates that this drone program isn’t really about winning any war against the Taliban or the mythical Al Qaeda, but it is about a concentrated op to terrify parts of the Middle East and to utilize this to use them for guinea pigs to see how this drone warfare could be militarily institutionalized.

In-fact all indication is that this is a phony war.

The Pakistanis have created an enemy for the Americans in the Taliban just like the CIA and the Pakistanis created al Qaeda to get an opponent for their military industrial beast to fight and for those within the bowls of the dark and dank Military, Industrial and Intelligence complex to have a group of dupes for their killing machines.

The useful idiot dupes are those ignorant, raging, savages out of Islamic fundamentalism.

They are the new Indians

Just imagine what the reaction would of been if this had happened in America. If the US police start to use drones for "law enforcement" this could happen.

I hope the American Government will be financially compensating the victims families.

These sort of mistakes are not supposed to happen with the surgical accuracy of the drone. LOL

I'm just wondering when we should expect to see the follow-up news story claiming that some members of the wedding party were actually Al Quaeda leaders, and thus justifying the "well planned out" drone attack...

What gets me is that the drone operators are probably never told if they kill innocent people.

And, if they are -- how can they live with themselves? How can they just turn off their humanity and go "oh well, a few less middle eastern people...who cares?" That just blows my mind.

Proof once again that they haven't got a clue who they're killing in these drone strikes - and I doubt they care either.

Until everybody here assume the attack was a wrong convoy and thus a mistake. With the mentality of the ussa military/ government i say maybe it was not a mistake they were there had the weapons find it is civilians care less and shoot anyways, you know just in case. Then when shtf call it a mistake. This is now from the world leaders who say they can track every one anywhere anytime. Funny how you can make mistakes when your reputation precede you. Nothing is below these idiots.

Sometimes I wonder what is in mind of person who pushed button for that drone attack.

I doubt he can escape knowledge that he killed innocent people.

How much do you have to be mess up to live with stuff like this...

And will he have any doubts next time they order him to push damn button...

Sad for innocent life lost, and would agree with majority here who see this as base for future 'terrorist' which I am not sure if we can call them any more that name... We are terrorizing them, not other way around...

As this seems to be a regular occurrence, why don't these people wizen up and just elope in Vegas? Seriously, why does this keep happening? It seems there should be some concern other than conspiracy sites.

Well first off a 'drone' didn't mistake a 'wedding convoy'.

A drone operator did, maybe, and we are talking about Yemen here.

Also wedding convoy?

WEDDING CONVOY.

Why yes everyone who gets married all over the world travels in 'convoys'.

I know this post goes against all the snap judgements of 'opinions' already preconceived.

Further more people die all over the global on a daily basis what makes Yemen so special?

Oh never mind.

Gee I don't know maybe it's the fact in exponetial explosion of 'terrorist' activity in the past 5 years.

Maybe it is the fact that thousands of Yemen fighters are all over the globe fighting 'jihad'.

Hell the number on detainee population at Gitmo wasn't from Afghanistan.

They are from Yemen.

'Mistakes' happen.

The have since the advent of 'war',technology.

But for those who make it sound like the US drone program is going around killing people will nilly is not an accurate statement in the least.

Interesting that it was a Convoy as you indicated and as the reports have stated, and the reports have been ambiguous:

There were no immediate details on who was killed in the strike, and there were conflicting reports about whether there were militants traveling with the wedding convoy.
A military official said initial information indicated the drone mistook the wedding party for an al Qaeda convoy. He said tribesmen known to the villagers were among the dead.
One of the three security officials, however, said al Qaeda militants were suspected to have been traveling with the wedding convoy.

Additionally, we do not hear the Yemeni Government crying foul at the moment either. Yemen is a hotbed for terrorists, and I would not be surprised for the Jihadists to use a wedding as false attempt to move terrorists around various sites. I think this story needs more vetting.

Also stated in the article sourced above:

The missile attacks in Yemen are part of a joint U.S.-Yemeni campaign against al Qaeda in the Arabian Peninsula, which Washington has called the most dangerous branch of the global terrorist network.
Thursday's drone strike is the second since a massive car bombing and coordinated assault on Yemen's military headquarters killed 56 people, including foreigners. Al Qaeda claimed responsibility for the attack...

Seems like it is ok to some people to turn their heads the other way when 56 innocent people get killed by Al Qaeda, but all condemnation when we retaliate. If innocent people were killed I'm sorry, but if terrorists were mingled in with them, then, I don't know how you can fix that. The jihadists have used women, children and other innocent victims to cover themselves. Meanwhile, the Yemeni Government remains quiet.

Let's see what more develops from this story which still seems to be unraveling.

Try Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.

A WikiLeaks released memo from the United States Secretary of State sent in 2009 asserted that the primary source of funding of Sunni terrorist groups worldwide was Saudi Arabia.[61]

Then I suggest people look up Saudi's GIP.

So what ?

Radical islam fascist militants get to go globe hopping and kill people?

Are they the only ones?

Miss the point that Yemen has been doing that for over 2000 years?

Miss the GD History of Sunni and Shia trying to kill themselves for that duration?

And the US is not at 'war with Yemen'.

Hell the 'war of terror is over'.

Guess someone needs to go tell them Yemen fighters and their affiliates all over the globe.

Never mind who gives a GD.

The purpose is to trash talk the US.

Oh and the US has no where near the blood on its hands as the British Empire.

Or any other "empire' European, middle eastern or Asia,

Ciao.
