as it applies in today's reality/world,, would be,"who is able to make war with him" or as i understand it,, who today is able to defeat this beast at all out war?
So which Nation today is the strongest militarily?

The beast is not about military strength but political rule. The military are only Tools which the beast will use.

If you read the verses you should clearly understand that there is actually politics the beasts reasons With.

Some eksamples that state that the beast uses politics to controll us all: From revelation 13.
1. upon his heads the name of blasphemy. It speaks against God. This is politics.

2. and his mouth as the mouth of a lion: and the dragon gave him his power, and his seat, and great authority.
The dragon gave him Power and his seat, and great authority. This is all about poltical Power.

3. And I saw one of his heads as it were wounded to death; and his deadly wound was healed: and all the world wondered after the beast. This is all about political Power. People dont fallow just anyone randomly. There is a reason People fallow.

This is not about military Power but about political morals. We worship Democracy because we think that Democracy is all about peace and prosparity. Who wants to fight against peace and prosparity? Why do we have to force other nations to fallow Our Democracy? This is taking Place right now if you fallow the News. It is the political argument used to invade other nations.

It is said in the Bible that Satan is the angel of light. That means you wont see the dark side before its to late. If te Bible is right we will all fall for the light. Because we dont see the danger of what we are doing.

5. And there was given unto him a mouth speaking great things and blasphemies; and power was given unto him to continue forty and two months. Her it is wery clearly stated that it is all about politics. It is by politics alone that the beast will trap us all in the end. It is by politics everything from deals and laws are formed and agreed upon. If that dont work military force will be used to enforce the New political policy. We are doing this right now. We are using brut force to force nations to fallow Our democratic standard.

PS. The Pope is not a beast. The Pope is one of the ten horns growing on the beast. Thereby the Pope is not a beast but a political tool. The reason the Pope is one of the ten horns is because the vatican have a large crowd of fallowers world wide. The Pope would never have been one of the ten horns on the beast if no one had fallowed the papal see. The beast is the multituds of People. No one can be a leader without a flock of sheep.

This verse is also tellig us something else. It is the dragon which gives Power to the beast. Now, do you remember who the beast was from verse 13, 1 ? It is the People who are the real beast. The beast come out of the sea. The sea represents the multitudes of People. We are the once who are going to do all the evils that are stated in the bible, and we are going to do Satans work. All in the name of politics. Satan will not be destoyed by humans. Because satan is not a being but a awareness; A angel of light. A angle of religion and politics. Satan is the tree of knowledge of good and evil. Satan is the angel of ligt.

We can not kill angels. We can not see them. We can not hear them. Satan the angle of light planted his seed of light within man in the garden of eden a long time ago. This seed have been evolving like evolution within man through time. The Bible is a timeline that fallows the evolution of man. The brain of the beast is the knowledge of good and evil. Good and evil or good or bad is about politics. We are always trying to sort the good Choices from the bad Choices. And get ridd of evil. Who in their right mind wants to fight against Our quest to make good Choices and fight evil? No one, it goes against Our moral understanding and religious believes. Jesus wants us to be good and make good Choices. So this becomes hard and confusing for us, because we dont know how to live in peace without a government or without being governed by others. This is why we will fail as mentioned in the Bible.

If we now know who the beast is. Who is the dragon in revelation 13,4?

This is not hard at all. If the beast are multituds of People. What do People fallow and worship? It aint religion or the military or a person. We worship political Choices and political policy's "Democracy". Our history is full of this stuff. These are the fundementals that build great and powerfull nations. It builds the beast and gives it strength.

PS. No one fallows their religion, not the once who live in a democratic society. These believes first have to fallow the political laws of man and if their religion dont break the laws of man these poeple wont be punished by the laws of man.

i know this is an allegory,but in today's parlance i would see that as ,, ie: the Senate giving the Power of say,, War,, too a different branch of said beast for instance.

That being said, I don't think that he will literally walk out of the coffin. The world will already be in chaos during the 5th trumpet, when he appears, but that's just my interpretation.
