A California man behind an anti-Muslim film that led to violence in parts of the Middle East is due to be freed from federal custody in a separate case, an official said Monday.

Nakoula Basseley Nakoula, 56, is scheduled for release on Thursday from a halfway house in Southern California where he's been held since May, said Ed Ross, a spokesman for the Federal Bureau of Prisons.

Nakoula, whose name in court files is Mark Basseley Youssef, was sentenced in November to a year in federal prison for using false names in violation of a probation order in a bank fraud case. That case was not related to the film.

The "REAL" daddy or...

The possibility that Obama was an adopted orphan from another country.

Adoption records are all sealed and "normal" birth certificates were always issued back in the early 60's in Hawaii.

It's not easy to get sealed records opened without showing justifiable "cause" in court. Even an "adoptee" has to show cause.

Congress may have the authority however (hint hint !!)

Maybe he has split personalities with different names and social security numbers. When he's Barack, he really doesn't know or remember what those other guys have done.

Doesn't anyone wonder why the lie in the first place? Surely not just because his illegal uncle got a DUI. I mean, he's shown himself petty enough to lie about that, I suppose, but that's a lot of risk with an outright lie over something that is ultimately of no importance.

So what makes it important? I suspect the same things that make his personal history as vague as it is-- some matter he doesn't want know about that time period in his life. All the grand conspiracies aside--though a few do have some intriguing plausibility for armchair discussions--I figure it's probably connected to his admitted drug use around that time period, more than anything else. It's one thing and play the cool stoner card when 'writing' drivel for constituents, but another thing entirely if that picture could take on flesh, you know?

In the end, he just continues to come across as the college 'liberal' hippie douche who was protected enough from the real world to never have to grow out of that phase. There's thousands of similar small minds with over-inflated egos running about at all our universities, so...yawn. He's dreadful, but he's what happens when you let feces ferment in the hall of academia for decades. I doubt there will be any other type of president for the rest of my lifetime, and perhaps not in the life of the US, judging from how incompetent and oblivious this one is.

All I can really say about yet another lie from this person we call POTUS is a quote from Clint Eastwood.

If it is this bad on the surface one can only imagine what its like underneath, this will not end well...I don't think it was ever meant to.

1. President Obama does have an uncle (Charles Payne) who did serve in the US Army in WWII and who did participate in the liberation of prisoners from a concentration camp (and Mr. Obama has long-since acknowledged his originally mistating Auschwitz for Buchenwald). (Cited previously)

2. President Obama acknowledged his uncle Onyango Obama in his published book. The White House Press Service (without clarifying with President Obama) vaguely stated in 2011 that the President "was unaware" of the current status of his uncle Onyango (when the issue first came to light with the man's arrest.) (Cited previously)

3. The White House Press Service stated yesterday (after actually confirming the matter with the President) that the President hadn't seen Onyango Obama in 20 years nor spoken to him in 10 years. (Citation - USA Today)

4. Judge Leonard I. Shapiro ruled (on December 3, 2013) that Onyango Obama was eligible for a green card under federal immigration law because he arrived in America before 1972 and had displayed “good moral character.” The judge said the 69-year-old paid taxes, volunteered in the community, and was a “kind and decent” person. (Citation - Boston Globe )

Those facts contradict the primary assertions of this discussion. The President didn't lie in either case.

I almost didn't even read your thread. Obama lying is so common anymore I wasn't much interested.

With that said, Maybe this explains the unaccounted for time in Obama's life. Why is he still in office?

Why indeed is he still in office? They were starting impeachment proceeding on Nixon on what now seems so minor, Clinton was impeached for a BJ and now we have a lying, socialist that cares bore about golfing and meeting celebrities than running the country!
Where are all the people asking him to step down or impeach him? We still have 3 years of this buffoon, who knows what other lies and how many other countries he will turn against us in this time?
Either people of America has sunk to an all time low or some people are right and he is only a paid actor and 'others' put this puppet in place and are calling the shots!
How anyone could defend his actions at this point shows a lot about that persons morals and motives (Oprah?).
