Hi everyone... I'm new to ATS and i wanted to post my first thread on something awesome, but i could never come up with anything cool or interesting. But today, i remembered i had a thought a while back.... With most UFO sightings happening at night, with bright lights, fading in and out, blinking on and off, and pulsating... What happens if the lights burn out? Do they ever burn out? If they do, do they stop at the local UFO parts store to get another light? Or do they have them stored in a back room or under the control panels just in case? (they're not just ufo's, they're preppers too?) If so, what type of lights are they anyways? (G.E. Galaxy Electric?) If they can't find any lights locally, do they have UPS (UNIVERSAL PARCEL SERVICE), ship them in from another Constellation Autozone? Do they have a mechanic on board? Do they use a metric set, or a galactic set to unscrew the nuts and bolts?? See... the way i see it, most UFO sightings at night are of man-made origins, with man made lights! Most likely government projects and should be called GFO's! Don't get me wrong, i believe there are other civilizations out there, and they may travel billions of miles to get here, but i don't believe they will be using dash board lights, interior overheads, fog lights, spot lights, high beams, turn signals, hazards, and back up lights through space and on earth! I know some will say, it's their afterburners, or their fuel, which they may be correct, but most fuels and after burners don't pulsate, and blink, like man made lights do! Anyways, i'm not a disbeliever.. I'm just trying to eliminate some of the fakery and BS stories out there for my own research!

I was at the Jiffy Lube having the same conversation with Elvis the other day.
Maybe they get a 100 billion mile warranty with their vehicles?

Looks like a fun thread to watch

FnS for original thinking. But didn't Autozone change their heading to Bill O' Rielly auto parts ?

I thought the lights were due to their propulsion systems?
Guessing if the engine goes then they need auto zone?

Interesting! My husband and I were just talking about the Rendlesham incident and he thought maybe it was some kind of maintenance problem that caused the smaller "drone" or whatever it was to be there in the forest. I think it's at least possible that time travelers and/or aliens would have to stop to fix something every once in a while, even if it's all done by machines, like programmed to repair themselves somehow. I would guess that no matter how advanced technology gets, something goes wrong occasionally. Intergalactic Spaceship Repair may even be a highly in-demand job somewhere. Get in on the ground floor, kids.

I see little tiny Japanese cars with park benches bolted to their trunks all the time at Autozone. Buying little chrome skulls and fake stick on misc. items to increase horsepower(accepted but not a proven fact) and installing metal testicles dangling from the rear bumper. I do not want to speculate as to what that means.

See... even with our own identified GFO space ship (shuttle), when flying and landing at night doesn't even use lights! You might find a couple video with a small blinking light on the tail end once landed, but no other bright lights! It mostly dark! So, i would think if there was a more highly advanced civilization then ours, flying around in our skies and making landings, they wouldn't need any lights either!

This is why I pointed out the propulsion system. I got the impression the field surrounding this is responsible for the light we see screaming UFO instead of a 747. Makes sense a drone would be needed if the propulsion system went down tho? hmmmmm??

If aliens exist and are visiting earth, then their technology is obviously so advanced that they've mastered interstellar travel. Such a civilization definitely would not use incandescent lightbulbs like we do here on earth. They would probably use something we have not even thought of yet, at least as far as lighting stuff up. They could use electricity, obviously, maybe with gas, or maybe there is some mixture or element or something that they utilize. But if they are that advanced, if they exist I mean, then surely they would not be using filaments like those found on earth.

Personally I would think they create light through magnetism or gravity or some basic force. How I don't know. But if some reports are to be believed, then it seems that the lights behave more like living things sometimes, or at the very least they don't have to have any casing of glass or whatever.

I have never seen a UFO, but I did see aliens in an AutoZone...illegal aliens!

I agree, but lets look at some of the advance illumination type things we have available now! We have FLIR and Infrared red that doesn't need bright lights to fly in and to illuminate an area... So, i would assume advanced civilizations would at least have what we have.. It's kinda hard to put myself in an alien mentality, but if i was going to another planet, i would try to be as stealthy as possible... As for propulsion, i believe some things that we may see is caused by that, because i do believe in the possibility of other life out there, but i don't think it's this big ball of fire or plasma pulsating out, that can be seen for miles and high up in the sky! If anything, i would think its more of a controlled dim burning of fuel!

I thought everybody knew that aliens used plasma on demand when they wanted to light things up....

That reminded me of a converstation on that movie Clerks. Blowing up the death star, but all the little people working on it, like the janitor or something, they get blown up too.

So Im sure they have enginers. People that pick up trash, or wash things..lol. Cool thought.

Here's another question to ponder, but has nothing to do with UFO's...
If a Zombie apocalypse was feesable...would that mean the end of ghosts???

Good question.
I myself have noticed that our newer UFO's seem to have newer headlights!!!
This is when I call HOAX...when the lights of the supposed UFO look like the annoying blue and green headlights I see on vehicles now...either that or they look like they've just rolled in from a Dubstep Festival!!!
I truly understand your point...why the hell do UFO's need lights anyway?

Exactly... Why would they need lights? If anything, being advanced, i would think they would be using some unknown, see in the dark, illumination source! Plus, if we go with the traditional "gray" alien being seen, with the big eyes, i would think they could see in the dark and wouldn't need a flash light either! Also, i agree with another poster about seeing the propulsion system light, but again, being advanced, why would they be giving off light? Our own planetary machines, which are supposedly less advanced, can fly at night with out giving off any light either! Helicopters don't give off a light source, neither do Harrier Jets when hovering... And i'm pretty sure, if there were aliens flying and hovering at night, they wouldn't be following any FAA flight rules and regulations regarding night flying!

Well...great minds do think alike...and sometimes ask questions that no one else considered.

Okay...we are now friends. If you have anymore unthought of questions...please post!
I am the type to ask: if Adam and Eve were the first and one of their two boys killed the other....yada yada yada.
Sometimes the question in itself debunks the theory altogether.

I say ANY UFO with lights...manmade.
Autozone...lol

the big question is this:
What happens when they have to go to the bathroom? Can they use ours?
I mean hell after driving 100 miles or so on a road trip, I gotta stop stretch, pee and smoke a cig then back on the road.
These guys fly a million light years or something, they GOTTA need a pee break yanno???

Hey OP...I think I should start a thread.
A thread where people who have have questions that no one else has asked can post them.
This is a great exercise in critical thinking and outside the box thinking.
Maybe someone out there has an answer for them...
Maybe their questions would lead to other questions...
Maybe...just maybe, a mystery would at last be solved or at least we'd be closer to it being solved.

Questions about anything.
Holes in theories and explanations that no one else picked up on.
Observations that no one else is paying attention to.

What do you think?
