Doom is way more exciting than reality, I'm afraid, and I think that some (notice I said some) WANT doom.

Yes doom and nonsense is more entertaining but where does it get you really.....?

Life is boring lets just invent # cos doing math and physics is too much like hard work....

Im still waiting to see if comet ISON will actually be seen in sky at sunrise as promised..

ISON is no hale-bopp thats for sure, there was a comet to behold all silvery taily loveliness in shining glory...

Oh how I miss the good old days.... when comets were comets and the people were grateful....

I was just think'n that same thing yesterday. But do you also see something else ?

If they just wanted to scare us, or keep us in fear, or distracted ? That would have
been a golden opportunity. It hung bright in the sky for weeks as I remember it.
Then switched to the opposite horizon, before passing. That was trippy. But no doom from
media then. Hell some of my friends didn't even know it was up there. Idiots.

Again this makes me think of the documentary I Know What I Saw, I think its called.

Can`t remember, but sure it`ll still be on youtube. I`d embed the vid if i could.

In it, a woman states she was told by someone high and mighty from NASA, that at first they will scare the people with the threat of terrorism, when that stops working it will be a threat of METEORS and the such. When that stops scaring them we will, i kid you not, use the threat of aliens.

And this docu is from the 70`s i think.

Now, by the amount of shooting stars and meteors i have seen lately, plus the increased MSM attention given to meteor strikes like Russia, Chile an everywhere, plus the hype of Ison, Wormwood, Encke, whatever, i would say we are in the beginning of the meteor threat, as the threat of terrorism isn`t quite getting us as jittery as before.

Sounds like a real plan for reuniting the human race for a "better" world. Under some made up outter space world leader. I would like to see that documentary.
Comet hype and a few of them around us or on the way, and we are defenceless.
I smell fear tactics.

So who gets the blame for people getting so hyped up and making claims

I agree Nasa hides stuff. I certainly do think they would hide an impending
cataclysm. I suspect that if you found out who was causing the hype and
fear via the media. You would also find the person or persons responsible
and powerful enough to say what goes at Nasa as well. It isn't enough to say

The mystery you seek is in the answer of NASA itself.
NASA is 'apparently' funded by the people and yet, they choose
to hide much from us.. so.. the Government is truly in control and
Area 51 is a prime example.

The question is - who controls the Government?

You know, with all the doom porn that has swept the internet over past few years, and very little, if any, has come to fruition, sure it's fear mongering, but hasn't all that info made us stronger and wiser in the process?

I like to look at the opposite side of the coin when it comes to bad news, and I feel, as bad as fear mongering is, it has had a profound positive effect on the many, like an awakening.

I have learned to take everything with a grain of salt, and doom porn is no exception, infact, it's the doom porn that has led me to a better understanding of the world of conspiracies.

Does NASA lie and hide stuff?................ quiet honestly, I don't think they're that advanced yet.

Thank you for the meme addition/correction. I usually forget half the things and the spelling is often important, to capture the feeling. Nao instead of now for example but I digress. I've not been a member for that long so have only seen one or two comets go by on ATS but if the last was anything to judge by then Ison could be a good distraction for all the OMG! folks.

I have not a clue really, it`s just over the last year there seems to be a lot more attention paid to meteor stories and comets etc, not so much Ison, But Elenin etc, like the meteorite what exploded in Russia making headlines and supposedly clearing up, what was not too long ago another mystery, the Tunguska Event. Then one happened in Chile and a lot of other various places which i can`t remember off the top of ma head.

A little over ten years ago we were all hyped up over terrorists, what with 9/11, the London and Madrid bombings etc, allowing tptb to enforce alsorts of intrusions on our privacy and infact go to war with other countries (something they like to do). However imho at the moment people are a lot less twitchy, nervous and maybe even bored of the threat of terrorist attacks. The MSM seem to have picked up on this and slowly they are drawing a lot more attention to meteor strikes and comets with all the doom porn, what, rightly comes from "boobs" on ATS, not sure bout the alien channellers mind, it just always puts me in mind of the clip from the documentary with the woman saying that is how tptb will control us using the fear of imminent danger from various things.

It was just an observation i felt like sharing! Seems rather coincidental and when i mentioned this on another thread about another comet which some were saying allsorts of hardcore doom porn scenario`s were going to become us, someone said that the documentary was called I Know What I saw.

Really wish i could find it now. It would be self explanatory.
