There is also the claim that nothing moved on the sun during the hour of footage, which was shown that unless there is a flare or something similar, you won't see any significant movements, I posted a video that covered 5 hours showing this.

And there's still the question of...why.

But anyway, best I pipe down, apparently challenging things here is not nice and rude and some are offended by the sites motto of denying ignorance.

I'd also like to adress the claim that NASA are showing a static image with bogus time stamps. If you look carefully, you can see some changes on the Sun's surface and in the magnetic hoops. SDO's view also changes a tiny bit as it orbits the Sun.

By the way, just found ISON on the 171 camera. Blink and you miss it.

Exactly. And now it has been reported that it has changed course... again.

Oh? Got a non-youtube source for that claim?

There were no flares to see.

The sun was dead calm as it were.

Watch the first part of this video from September:

It covers about 5 hours and nothing moves except when the flare erupts.

Untrue... you can see slight pixel movements on the outer surface spews within every passing hour... bear in mind it is a zoomed out view of the whole sun.... so imagine the confusion of not being able to see even a single pixel moving in the ISON nasa image, especially since it was zoomed in to the outer surface of the sun. We should at least see 1 pixel dont you think?

They may lie about some things, but NEOs are NOT one of those things.

Do you realize that they get much of their information about NEOs from the international community of astronomers that are NOT employed by them?

Please explain how they could hide information from the very people that are providing it to them.

Challenge is good, but to truly deny ignorance it takes more than a challenge, it take evidence with the challenge... for example:

bad = you're wrong. prove it.
good = you may be wrong because this evidence here states [provide evidence and feed conversation].

It is rude to ask others to do your own research, if you want to know google it [or search on ATS] or ask yourself and hope the answer comes to the front of your memory.

back to the OP... I am looking for evidence of a course correction, I mean adjustment... I see Cheesy had a thread on a course change that was moved to the hoax bin due to a bad source. I got my news on my Facepalm feed and it was from coast to Coast. I didn't listen to the show but I did post an image from their website on page 4 in this thread.

I am of the belief that if I wanted to study a system I would park out of range [Oort cloud would be perfect] and get as much as I could from the probe if I thought the system were populated by a potentially hostile species. That would include passing by as many of the "habitable zone" bodies as possible without appearing suspicious, and for added bonus record an up close solar event that happens once every 11 years or so just because it is interesting [and who knows maybe its a rare our sun does this]... followed by a flyby of the most populated hemisphere on the most likely planet where all those nasty radio and TV waves have been originating [over arctic of northern hemisphere would cover that]. Just my 2 cents.

You raise an outstanding point and I think it's one many people don't understand or just make silly assumptions on, which could easily be corrected with some time to look into it.

As you note, NASA directly owns or controls very little in the way of the world wide hardware for observation. What is in Space is a different matter, but down here? You hit it right on the head. NASA draws it's analysis from data submitted by private organizations, universities and people all over the planet.

We'd have to believe that thousands upon thousands of people in and around the industry supporting it would be fine with coverups as a routine thing...which is so absurd, I can only think folks haven't looked much into just where and how NASA actually gets the information it uses and re-releases.

I find it very sad that more of the people spouting the notion of "NASA is a bunch of lying, liars that always lie" don't take the time to look into it for themselves. NASA being "liars" is considered a "fact" around here, and on Youtube, but instead, its ignorance at its finest.

The information is out there for anyone that wants to take the time to look. If they don't want to look it up themselves, they can look at my thread on NASA and NEOs (link in profile).

Question for those that think NASA is lying about ISON or any other NEO:

Out of thousands of astronomers out there that provided the very information used to get a picture of ISON (size, magnitude, orbit)..

Amateurs and professionals alike...

Many of whom are NOT employed by NASA or any other space agencies...

That live in who knows how many countries... and they knew for sure that ISON (or any other NEO) would cause doom of any variety...

Or they knew that the info released about size/orbit was grossly inaccurate..

Do any of you honestly think that at least a good number of those people would NOT come forward and say something?

Think about it. Think for yourselves. Fact check information gleaned from blogs and youtube videos and make an informed decision instead of parroting the tired old cliche that NASA is a bunch of lying, liars, that do nothing but always lie.

You raise some very good points, as always.

I try and be a bit patient with the ignorance of NASA because it wasn't that long ago I was among that crowd. I was never so bad as to call an entire science agency a bunch of shills and goons...but I sure didn't know what was what when the first big event came with Elenin. That was a humbling and very sobering experience of learning before speaking and knowing before assuming. Wow....talk about being one of a crowd, where everyone was flat wrong and bordering on delusional. To thy own self be true...

Hopefully this experience will do for others what Elenin did for me and people then. Hopefully it'll spur some people to put down the Enquirer and Examiner for awhile to read the factual stuff about these people and organizations to see just how they really function on a daily basis...vs how people assume they do.

Ok, maybe no movement was the wrong phase to use.

There still is very little movement, a lot less than one would think.

Could it possibly be a compromised trust issue, in the past?

A government agency would never lie to the public about anything, and everyone should just except everything they convey to us at face value.

Deny ignorance is the motto here, and that is what this thread and many others on ISON are about people talking about what has transpired, what is transpiring, and what could possibly happen.

I probably should be more patient.. but its not an easy thing for me personally. I've also been around longer than a portion of the ones that I see parroting the 'NASA always lies' notion, so maybe that makes me more jaded than they are, because I have seen all of this before and I've seen SO many failed predictions in the past.

I hope you are right and that these people will see the light, so to speak, after ISON makes its way out without causing any doom... much like Elenin did.

Indeed... You raise one other point there that is very important to mention. Elenin got slapped silly by the Sun and quite possibly, slapped into oblivion. Hard to say...but Elenin was still being carried as an active object out there somewhere and making it's lonely journey. This, despite what I could have sworn were best estimates to it's total destruction.

Such is the science of the unknown, eh? Maybe ISON lives..maybe it doesn't. Maybe it'll stay intact a bit longer and then, just maybe, generations in the future are reading about the same thing coming back someday in a smaller version of itself.

It's all pretty fascinating and fun to me when the doom porn gets checked at the door.

When Uncle Sammy is DOING ...not just saying or 'not saying'? Then I'll worry. Uncle is too arrogant, confident and, oddly at the same time, ignorant to keep such a thing quiet for more than the close of the business day once more than a few people know. We'll never be left in the dark for the real thing....whether they intend that or not.

Could it possibly be a stereotype based on unfounded assumptions that spread like wildfire throughout the ATS and Youtube communities? Without anyone ever bothering to actually check facts?

My claim was not that they have NEVER lied about anything...

Don't cherry pick my words and twist them around.

My claim was that NASA doesn't lie about Near Earth Objects and that they are not lying about ISON.

Do you know that NASA isn't even the hub for NEOs?

And that a good portion of their information is given to them by astronomers, professional and amateur alike, from all around the world and that the effort for tracking, cataloging and discovering NEOs is a world-wide, collaborative effort?

The information about NEOs is never even a secret to begin with and by the time an object has a calculated orbit, it is well known among the astronomical community at large, especially if it has an impact risk.

I Thank you for a great thread!

Personally, I believe this whole thing falls under Agenda 21 with some hints of Project Bluebeam. Anyone who has put even a half hour of research into this would begin to put two and two together. On thursday I had a strange feeling that we would see some "coverups" and I think we actually witnessed that.

Ison was being reported as "broken Up" For almost 2 hours, As soon as I Saw the first post on ATS saying that Ison made it, all hell Broke loose. Every site/link I clicked on that said Ison Broke up or didnt make it was 404'ed even on ATS and other sites like it. I thought That it was really strange that 99% of the links all of a sudden did not work for me.

It almost was a flash back to the bush elections where every tv station said gore won but then fox said that bush won and every one else followed. To me it feels like the same thing.

Remember the UN wants You to believe their is a "threat" being posed by NEO's (Near Earth Objects) or comets/astroids. That is one of the Steps in agenda 21. After that we will get the "alien" Threat.

I believe that this is only the beginning of a long list of NEO Conspiracies.

What do you guys think?
