Hello.

I 100% do not consider this sighting a 'UFO' other than I
can't identify the model of presumably military aircraft.

Now I was in my PJ's recycling a cardboard box that my
new monitor came in, as my old one died a couple days
ago. And no, no phone with me.. and I had no desire to
see a UFO or anything.. I was recycling cardboard and
not thinking about this crap at all.

At the limit of my vision, something started approaching
in the sky. I can't say how high up it was, but since I could
see details on the body of it, it couldn't have been up
THAT high. Maybe 1/2 a mile up? I don't know. I'm not
a trained observer or trained photographer or anything.
There was nothing in the background to use as a size
reference. Maybe the size of a small house?

It was a black triangle. It had one steady red light at
each corner. It had one brighter white light in the
dead center and that was blinking with the tempo
of an aircraft light.

The craft was absolutely silent; not the tiniest noise.
Now it didn't do any crazy maneuvers or anything..
it was flying an arc that looked like an aircraft might.

The only thing that seemed odd, was the shape and
body type, and the fact it covered 1/2 of the visible
sky to out of my line of sight in maybe 15 seconds.

Now I was in the navy for 8 years and I've seen many
aircraft. They were all noisy and obvious. Not this one.

Now when it was straight overhead, I saw just a bit
more detail that made no sense to me.

There was a raised circular ridge centered in the
triangle. That was clear. Maybe 5' high?
(maybe call it 1/4 of a unit mentioned later).

Now I couldn't quite see it.. but there seemed to be
a 'square' metal overlay on top of the triangle, but
it was like it was and wasn't there. It did not subtract
from the impression that I was looking at a silent
flying triangle. But it was like a square platform
on top of it that wasn't there. Sorry.

It was like pressed and embossed gun metal
(the entire craft). It wasn't shiny. It definitely
looked 'constructed'. I mean like self-annealing
sr71 blackbird metal. But it looked 'chunky'
and thick and not like an aircraft. If it was say
10 units across, it was at least 3 units thick.

Now nothing screamed 'UFO' or ''Alien". We have
a lot of military bases in this state.

Any ideas as to identification?

The TR3B is the so called triangle nuclear powered Ufo out there. Try to shoot it down next time lol.

Doesn't exist.

OP can claim they had no aliens on their mind, but a quick look into their past posting history shows it is mostly about UFO's. They are obviously lying.

Oh I seldom get angry. But 'lying'. Really? I'd
rather you slapped me in the face and spit
on me than say that.

Yes, I post about 'spiritual ufo psp phenomenon'
And as a matter of fact I don't even 'believe' in
'physical ufo's' except possibly as misidentified
military aircraft. And I clearly stated this was
not one of those insofar as I could see..

I went to great pains to describe how it was
NOT a 'ufo'.

I'm 52 years old and have never claimed to
see a physical craft. I don't believe in them
per se and don't want to see one. And I don't
think that I did see one..

I saw some sort of routine craft no doubt
I just am not that familiar with planes
since I left the military in 1990.

If I get even one more response like that
for this post, I'll just redact the whole
thing and this response too.

Just thought I should mention it as others
are mentioning seeing triangular craft.

Sorry. You made it sound as if you are not a person who is involved in the whole "ufo" thing. Then a glance at your post history shows it is littered with UFO posts. TR3B does not exist. Nothing about it is plausible. Especially not a super secret craft flying over houses at low altitude.

I've seen the triangle. About 1993-1994 it was around 2am. I was with 5 of my friends and all of of us saw it. The craft was hovering, completely silent and was pretty low to the ground. It's real.

Just want to add it was in Fairfield, Ca flying right over Falls elementary school (now closed.)

You called a 52 year old man, an ex nuclear engineer,
ex secret clearance, ex military, whose 'religion' is
honesty and compassion and you called him a liar
after examining his posts for like 2 minutes.

If you had read those posts, you'd have seen that I'm
a spiritual writer who doesn't believe in physical
UFO's unless they are military hardware.

Would you like it If someone read your earnest and truthful
post about looking at an aircraft, making no claims for it
whatsoever and called you a liar? I don't think so.

I'll accept your 'sorry'. But anything you post will now have
to overcome this demonstrated lack of decorum before you
can be taken seriously.

Did it have aircraft type lights?

My wife asked me to find a picture on the internet
to show her. the following link:

Triangular AirCraft

Looks really close to that..

except the lights on the corners were red not white,
and there was a blinking white light in the center.

It really looked a lot like that.. except I got a
better view of it than that photo.. that photo
looks like it has some sort of flaring effect
with the lights.. but the one I saw had lights
as clear and obviously aircraft light in nature
as a low flying single pilot plane.

Also this artists conception:

Artists Conception of Triangle Craft

shows the chunkiness and gunmetal/sr71 looking metal look of it.

For what it's worth, I saw what sounds like the exact same type of craft last year.

It was completely silent, but had lights on the corners and in the center.

I live downhill from a large military base, and am accustomed to seeing military craft of all varieties, but only saw this thing once, whatever it may be.

Of course that Sir showed a lack of decorum. But nevermind, there are people that appreciate honesty like yours.

I never saw a triangel, but I saw something else, that was strange enough to let me know that there's more in this world than some "know it all"-people might believe.

For sure, it just doesn't sit well with me to see someone called a liar for reporting something that I have personally seen.

Not that my words carry any weight, but I'll vouch for the fact that such things exist, having seen it with my own eyes.

It sounds like the triangle over Southern Illinois in 2000, except the Illinois craft had 3 white lights on each corner with the red being in the middle, opposite of yours. This one was witnessed by numerous, numerous individuals, with a few police officers. I believe at one point a witness sketched it as more of a box. Perhaps fits in with your description of a box that "wasn't there." Also silent.

I know there were lights on the bottom but honestly can't remember colors or formation. Too bad there weren't smart phones back in the 90's. I was a teenager at the time so at least one of us would have had one.

I still talk to one of the girls that saw it too. She remembers it as well, we were talking about it this last summer.

That's how I eventually found ATS by the way. I was googling triangular aircraft and stumbled upon this site.

Well that's interesting.

It seems that these craft have been seen in California, Texas
and other places. Lots of military bases in those two states.

The scientist in me is annoyed. Obviously no action-reaction
engine involved.

When you saw it, how long was it hovering before it left?
Did it do a crazy UFO exit?

The one I saw seemed to be behaving the laws of physics,
except possibly moving way too fast. I wish I could characterize
it's speed. But it's the fastest thing I've ever seen. Not fast like
in movies.. but the thing had to be doing mach 5 or something..
with no sound. And the thing could have been loafing along
at 1% speed for all I know. That lack of any sound or exhaust
and no shock wave.....

Yah, it looked a lot like that artists reconstruction one.

Now I almost didn't mention that 'it was simultaneously
like a box that wasn't there'.

That moves it into PSP (projected / spiritual materialization)
sort of area or I suppose the whole thing was in a state of
quantum unsteadiness.. but that would be weird.. just the
atmosphere would collapse the waveform due to destructive
decoherence... unless it had 'quantum compensators' LOL.

I tell you what tho.. I'm not going to chase these things
around like Moby Dick. If it wants to land and offer me
tea and buttered scones, that's fine.. but it had better
be really polite and not land on my petunias.

Thanks..

Well these 'things' are screwing with the whole world. I'm
going to demand an apology and I'll haul one around by
it's left earlobe or tentacle and make it say it's sorry
if I get the chance.

Moving at Mach 5 with no sonic boom is definitely breaking some of the known laws of physics.

Nothing breaks the laws of physics.. some things work around
apparent limitations which aren't necessarily real limitations.

But yah.
