It makes me smile when folks trot out all that satanic stuff about masons, but when they do it about the Eastern Star, and I think of all those Sweet ladies that come to the meetings, it's down right hilarious.
Especially when you learn about that star and what it's meaning is.

Hm, the upright star may be a reference to Jesus himself ("Mind over matter"). The downward star is the symbol of the goat, or materialism (laveyan satanism).
The emblem of the Order is a five-pointed star with the white ray of the star pointing downwards towards the manger. In the Chapter room, the downward-pointing white ray points to the West. The character-building lessons taught in the Order are stories inspired by Biblical figures:
