Look around you; take a really good long look. What do you see? Hmmm let me rephrase that to what do you feel?

Do you have some latent abilities and powers that lay undiscovered?

I would like to invite you on a journey, this journey will be to challenge everything that you already believe as fact, and then reconsider those thoughts, in a different perspective. I’ll ask rhetorical questions, ones that you need not reply to, but just ponder on.

I will not post a single link trying to confirm, re-enforce, or even prove my claims, but what I will attempt to do is link you back to the real you, with the possibility of leading to self empowerment.

Many problems today are labeled as mental illnesses; it’s so easy for them to label these symptoms under a broad category, all the while standing behind their large Ego’s, PhD’s and colleague's that will back them up 100% by maintaining so called facts.

But where did these facts come from? Indoctrination since birth perhaps, schools of narcissism, ideals and philosophies handed down from generation to generation, with almost no challenges except from the same arenas? Wonderful.

Depression, anxiety, despair, anger, fear, confusion, or funk may not be what they say it is, but it appears that many people accept labeled conditions as the status quo, left only to play the victim role.

Has anyone ever consider, if these so called experts know so much, why aren’t these symptoms, and conditions curable?

Why do they just give it some technical name, write a prescription, charge ungodly amounts of money, and then send us away knowing that it will not cure a thing?

And could the ultimate doctor be locked up right inside us?

I’m going to share a secret that many here on ATS may or may not believe, but it will be for you to decide whether or not it’s the truth. The Real Truth is within each of us, and always subjective to each person, but extremely empowering if one is willing to look at everything else in a different light.

We feel everything going on around us, everyone and everything, but many people will try to shut it out.

At birth we are all just a blob of flesh, we have little or no control over our bodily functions, and have almost no ability to communicate verbally, so we rely on others to care for us, and tend to our needs until we can adjust to the physical world.

Let me repeat that again “until we can adjust to the physical world” (Think about this statement for a few moments)

OK so we start to adjust…………

……… but in the meantime we are given a name, and the indoctrination begins before we can even speak, or even think properly for ourselves. People tell us who, what, how, and why to act a certain way, but something on the inside is telling us something else. Our indoctrinated ego driven minds takes over and feeling anything is pushed way way down the totem pole, if we actually feel at all.

What about how we feel, or better yet how about why we are feeling something?

Most of us feel we have a mission and know exactly what we intend to do, but when we get here we forget almost everything, but our intuition keeps telling us “this is not right”, “this isn’t how things are supposed to be!”, “What a mess”, “Why is the world this way?” “I know the answer, but I just can’t seem to remember it”

Our inner guide talking keeps popping up, some call it intuition, some call it psychic abilities, and some are scared to death of it and some completely ignore it, and live vicariously through other people.

More people, on this planet, are empathic and have psychic abilities then care to admit.

And for some idiotic reason we all seem to constantly look for that silver bullet externally, instead of going within.

The ultimate question should be what are so we afraid of?

We tremble inside; we scream a thousand silent screams because the direction we are currently going is far from the where our intuition is telling us to go, and the mere fact that so many people with empathic abilities blatantly ignore this inner guide is overwhelming.

And why do we suppress our intuition, if it’s always right?

It’s funny how all the “Do You Feel it threads” here on ATS do so incredibly well then die off, only to pop up again.

So are you an Empathic, Now What?

Peace,

RT

You asked a question "now what"? I have an answer for you.

Take that inner knowing; that inner light; that inner gift;
that inner vision; that "that"

and instead of blathering about it --- train it.

Weave in a good portion of the rational mind..

In my experience, the 'mystical path' is in large
part, simply the process of releasing stresses
held in the body (which interferes with communication
inside of a person) and the aligning of the unconscious
mind with the conscious mind in a healthy balance.

You can use the chakra system or what not.. use
various 'systems'. but really living with honesty,
stress reduction, genuine loving-kindness and
an appropriate use of the rational mind in this
process...

and what was once just a 'feeling' becomes a
genuine usable 'gift'.

I think alot of people are empaths, they just don't know it. Especially when a person enters a room and the mood just shifts. When dealing with energy, we feel the change most of all. Call it vibes (short for vibrations) or what have you. I am a empath, I can also hear earthquakes (usually a high pitched whine with ear pressure). Geo-empathy perhaps?

Again i was asking rhetorical questions.

There are many paths to the inner self, and what works for one may not necessarily work for another.

This seems to be the problem with religions, or any dogmatic beliefs.

We have our user manuals within ourselves, written for ourselves, by ourselves.

The very reason people come to this site and others is because they are searching, but this is an external search rather than an internal search, it's not right or wrong just different.

My point is our yearnings are not met by external searches, so following our empathic abilities allow us to feel what is going on within our world and other people's worlds.

Currently people are in a chaotic state.

Yes, you were orating.. I've been known to do that too.
But other people DO want to jump in and discuss too..
this is a 'chat forum'.

I'd take people's desire to wish to chat about your topic
as a compliment.. it means you've struck a chord.

Where can you go?
You may think there is a path and that you can go the wrong way but really you never move - the appearance is just continually moving.

Take another look at what is really happening.

Oannes,

I would say you are right, even going as far as saying everyone is empathic, but so many people choose to block it out, or even deny it exists.

I believe the problem is we can't hide from those vibrations, since we are all connected.

And the truth is the reason so many people, in the world, are feeling negative feelings is that we are not acknowledging are true paths, but rather an illusion.

Pretty awesome stuff!

Personally, I prefer the term "sensitive".

Some are more sensitive than others; #2

opposite

What a weird coincidence two topics I was thinking about pop up in the latest articles list at the same time ..ish.

To answer your questions I dont think so. I dont know if you can classify paying attention to details as an extra sense. Essentially that is what an empath is as far as I can tell

Ask me a specific question and I'll answer it. If you want me

This is actually interesting that you brought this up, with the link to serial killers and the term meaning opposite of empathy.

This reason this individuals seem to be able to do what they do is, the mere fact they are disconnected from source, or the ability to feel themselves, or others.

Some call it evil, darkness, devil, but they are still highly functional because of the mind, ego, and logic, in fact even more-so because they do not let any feelings get in the way of their desires.

So basically no over-ride switch to stop them from causing chaos.

One time a friend of mine gave me something to drink by myself. I sat outside for hours and finished a pack of cigarettes (I know that's gross). I sat out there because there was a voice talking to me for hours, honestly it was one of the most interesting things that has happened (internally). It or I since i'm the only one in my head. Was talking in metaphors and story's to explain things i was asking myself, I know weird.

An empath is not so much paying attention to any detail, but rather more like sensing what is not there, or not heard.

Kind of like when you think of a certain person and within a split second the phone rings and it's them.

Or you are going to go somewhere and you have a really bad feeling about going, so you opt out, only to find out later something bad happened at the place you where suppose to go.

Intuitions, and empathic abilities or senses go hand in hand.

And our logical mind and ego's seem to try to always over our intuition. Any time I have ever gone against my intuitions or empathic flags, it has always bit me in the ass later.

Very interesting btw

Thanks for posting this.

As much as an empath may want to develop, one must also develop in the opposite direction with a protective shield as well. There are some things between those lines that aren't good to know and are destructive.

Beautiful to see such a ray of light here at ATS, enjoyed your post and have flagged ya!

It does seem you are lumping rather a great deal into the empathy pot (not meaning to offend you in anyway and do see where your coming from), but normally the definition would be someone who has the ability to emotionally feel what others feel around them or the ability to feel the soul or vibe of a place.

The ability to directly access information (non emotional) with the mind is normally considered a type of 'direct seeing' (to steal a phase off Carlos Castaneda), for those interested to learn check out his book 'Tales of Power' (which is a shamanic story).

Sure your aware that the Indian swami's and sages call them Siddis and they are considered a distraction from the path itself. We all love a good distraction tho and it can be a lot of fun to aquire them, but it can also be very difficult to integrate them into a normal 20th century life!

When we open our minds to what is possible, it allows these senses to develop and blossom.
