Lasertag

Normally I post about doom and gloom, even though not directly. Of all the possibilities I have seen with the spirits both from our planet and others for the future, there is one that stands out.

It's a reality where everyone has exchanged their physical weapon for lasertag weapons. People all play lasertag, they wear their guns at all times and are constantly at war with eachother. They communicate over the internet with international score boards and have small and large tournaments, secret ones, party over victories or mourn their losses, there are classes like today's shooters with spies and everything, make believe wounds, doctors and nurses.

Everything they do depends on the score boards, where each nation has points. These points are also currency and dictate how much time a nation has to present a plan they have and when people have fought over it with lasertag a nation gets an amount of resources for their plans.

The game itself is much like lasertag today only much more developed. All games are mostly gone and people have different clients where they get information, assignments and updates on how the eternal war is going for each faction. They also have lcd glasses and better sound effects, with motion sensors when they are hit, there are bases with virtual reality simulators they can step in where they can sit in and drive or fly, for training but also real skirmishes where remote controlled vehicles are launched and fight against eachother.

The reason why it would be succesful is each human needs to know who is the strongest because everybody needs to know who is leading so they can all follow that one individual and depend that person knows best out of everybody. When all people are playing lasertag, they will all have a chance sometime to prove themselves to others and everybody would respect this as the method to judge a character, much like diploma's, jobs and property define someone because choices are only known to the one who makes them. Most poverty is gone because everyone wants to play along badly, everybody has carreers and there are no real losers. Those at the bottom of the lists are the babies, only the bottom half of the list are considered the losing side and they have to listen to the winning side, who at the top have their own system of best players.

It really is a beautiful future full of healthy people where most people play lasertag as a sport, from an early age. The best shooters get the top positions in everything and the real guns are kept in case lasertag would ever fail. Even in the afterlife, people have a reason to get involved and guide people more easily. Now I don't know whose soul that is out there to make it happen but I wish him or her all the best and hope it comes true.

Sounds like a way cooler future than any of us could ever hope for.
