Yes it is for purpose. It has been set to happen thousands years ago. Much longer before the flood. All ancient calendars match, within margin of error. Or the error is human made in nowadays IDK.

Comet Ison just brightened, "unexpectedly" for astronomers. So what do they really expect with all their sophisticated instruments? Even f they know they would never tell us in advance. Theories of electric universe and electric comet were put on shelves for better times.

It depends what someone understands under the term "doom".

If Vikings are correct, Oden should first arrive from space if he should die by Feb 22. I don't call him "viking god" and it would be stupid to call anyone "god" from the ancient myths anymore.

IMO the real event will happen before Feb 22 if it will happen at all. Remember Dec 21/2012 and several possible events including comets scheduled before that, starting from as early as 2011, and an early Mayan end date in...October 2011 or so. They failed and logically Dec 21, 2012 failed too. Now we have a fresh calculated Mayan end date on Dec 16 2013. If there is a big event to happen, it could match the general frames of those long distance periods but will not match any particular date.

As I read the comments about ISON how the astronomers don't know...As I hear of Electric universe theories on the other side, by people who are nowhere stupid rather very informed on the matter, how a comet cannot be a dirty snowball rather a very sophisticated electrical object that interacts with other electrical objects - the sun, the planets ...

I have the feeling that everything as available knowledge and prediction have already been said. It does not encompass the real world scenario or truth. We will never understand it in our current position on earth.
Now it remains the waiting period (hope the final one!) to see which hypothesis and prediction will prove right in the real world. You could have the finest prediction and if it fails in the real world, what worth of it?

Sounds like the famine. Volcano dirtied the skies. And the winters were bad I'm not sure how many but it caused draught and if people were eating dogs in Ireland I'm sure people got into it with eachother.

Volcano, or perhaps even a celestial impact. Comets and meteorites if large enough can spray ejecta and dust high enough in the atmosphere it will dirty the sky.

After spreading the news of apocalyptic 3 days of darkness in 2012, now Princess Kaoru Nakamaru of Japan backs out, says sorry from her heart to those people who bought the candles. I wonder how many of the other hi rank people have done the same? To forget for a moment they are princes, popes? Ancient Aliens is a sitcom for alternative thinkers. well, to me any way. Yoh! How they leap and bound through BS on that show... (still, I don't mind watching for it keeps me thinking)

Where are the Nordic Gods?? Same place as all the others. Within our hearts, within the very being; they're the embodiment of reality. Metaphorically speaking of course, but still, an ardent mirror reflecting a truth of our observations and interpretations of life.

Thusly, predictions are empty until enough people give them power. And as far as end-of-world predictions are concerned ... well ... suffice it to say; we're still here.

Still, AA is something watched all over the world translated in native languages. I don't think all they say is BS.

Perhaps someone wants us to think so. Because the taboo has fallen, and some at the top feel as the naked king. When they know the truth for themselves and where they will go should anything happens.

"2012" movie was BS or was it not? Why all those efforts to make us believe something is gonna happen while all will be wrong at the end? What if it is just a year wrong?
