This article explains the patricular twist given to the Falluja offensive by the widespread neocon rhetoric.

Pepe Escobar: 'Satan hides in a hospital'

By Pepe Escobar, Asia Times

Everything one needed to know about the true, unspinnable foreign policy of the second George W Bush administration is represented by the "capture" of the first strategic target in the assault on Fallujah: the general hospital, on the left bank of the Euphrates, now totally cut off from the city. According to the Bush administration world view, this is the house where Satan lives.

LOL! this is just great. We finally found someone to counter edsinger.

Let's have an article competition to see who can find the most degrading articles to each side. Mokuhadzushi can go anti-BUSH and edsinger can go Pro-BUSH.

Come on guys I think it's a good idea. Where's ed when you need him.

Mokuhadzushi - if you cannot follow the simple rules posted at the top of every single "new topic" and "reply page," to wit:
MEMBERS: Do not simply post news articles in the forums without comment. If you feel inclined to make the board aware of current events, please post the first paragraph, a link to the entire story, AND your opinion, twist or take on the news item.
then your threads not adhering to the guidelines will be closed.

I'd like to point out that my articles are not anti-bush propaganda. They are purely scientific contemplations of infantile US policy.

They are biased reports by a biased reporter who is a known anti-American. You may as well get your news from Pravda. There is NO scientific analysis at all anywhere in his ignorant articals.

The source for your non-contribution (in terms of your content) displays this as it's logo:

No bias there...

Can you please explain to me what a scientific contemplation of a subjective concept such as foreign policy and diplomacy is?

Thanks in advance.

This is insane.

What ever happened to rational arguments? "smirkingchimp.com"?

Mokuhadzushi, I'm disappointed that you would put something like this up. I'm not a fan of Bush, but damn. This stoops to the same sensationalistic, irrational level some ultra-conservative people have taken in support of Bush. This is the garbage they use when they defend their tactics.

Aren't we touchy... The same group of guys running around saying that Kerry looked like Lurch, god help if you call attention to Bush's Chimp-ish qualities. Mokuhadzushi can get his information from any source he likes IMO, for as long sweat continues to drip off the Jowls of guys like Rush Limbaugh, it's an open war. Did you guys actaully read the article or just see the chimp picture and get angry? Welcome to America, some of us don't like Bush.

They captureed the hospital so the insurgents wouldn't take it. Its a high priority target. Are you saying people showing up to it aren't treated? Anyone surprised at this has got to be kidding.

According to numerous reports, the doctors were forbidden by US troops to fetch wounded civilians and fighters in order to treat them.

Which factually implies that the U.S. Forces did not want the Medical Staff running into a combat zone and getting killed? There has been plenty of footage on TV showing Civilians and Fighters being medivac'd by U.S. Forces, where oh where is the footage of the loving Musllim Fighters medivacing wounded Civilians and American troops for treatment?????
