i have e-machines windows xp, just basic stuff really. i have internet explorer 8 , and need to delete an add on that i don't want or need. i know how to disable it, but want to just get off here without going back to date before it was added. is there a way to delete it? checked everywhere but unsuccessful, imagine that, lol. your help is greatfully appreciated.

i thank you in advance just incase my wonderful internet provider fails me again and have to wait to see your answer.

When Internet Explorer prevents you from Googling solutions to your computer problems, it's time to change browsers.

You've already gotten the best advice you can get. Switch to Firefox or Chrome. IE8 is OBSOLETE. No one writes code for a site with IE8 in mind. Switch. You'll be glad you did.

In both firefox and chrome. Be sure to turn off "hardware acceleration". They'll both run better without it.

If your worried about privacy I found a great search engine IxQuick Ive been using for a few months now they claim to hide all your information and you can use proxy as well.

It's your computer, and I'm not going to try and convince you to give up your browser. I only ask this out of curiosity...

Why would reject two far superior browsers, in favor of one old and obsolete browser that the vast majority of websites no longer support, or write code for? Especially since Microsoft themselves won't even support it.
