Darkbake WHOA !

You have taken the ball and run with it my friend. I am going to do some research on Ambrosia, Lilith and possibly Evelyn today and see if I can't find some connections.

Good detective work.

Stars to all your posts Darkbake in this thread

Thanks for that informative post, Labtech, it was really helpful. I'd like to go into this further, but not at the moment - I may ask about this in the future. I need to give it a bit of time and not jump into something over my head on accident right away.

Nice to identify it as a succubus. That answers some questions I had. Your signature is crazy, by the way -

As far as the O.P. - it could be a different situation.

Wow, I can't believe that we have totally neglected astral science, that puts us in a rough spot as a society if people just start getting possessed left and right all of a sudden and have to start dealing with spirits that haven't been observed in forever due to everyone having a closed mind.

Even identifying different spirits and knowing their characteristics seems to be a lost art, let alone dealing with them, so thanks for your info, both you and my friend identified it as an energy vampire.

I'm sure there is some info in ancient texts and religions, sometimes I find this stuff on corners of the net that are surprisingly on the outskirts.

Thanks, Truebeeleever - this thread was definitely a weird experience for me. I think our two entities are connected, I'm not sure about the O.P.

I guess yours could be a nymph - Wikipedia: Nymph, mine could be a succubus and the O.P.'s could be a spirit guide. Or they could all be succubi.

Oh God. Speaking of which... I just found Lilith again on Wikipedia when looking up Succubi. This is definitely odd isn't it?

According to Zohar and the Alphabet of Ben Sira, Lilith was Adam's first wife who later became a succubus.

Wow, at least these things are identifying themselves with useful names.

Possible explanation for alleged encounters with succubi[edit]

In the field of medicine, there is some belief that the stories relating to encounters with succubi bear similar resemblance to the contemporary phenomenon of people reporting alien abductions,[13] which has been ascribed to the condition known as sleep paralysis. It is therefore suggested that historical accounts of people experiencing encounters with succubi may rather have been symptoms of sleep paralysis, with the hallucination of the said creatures coming from their contemporary culture.[14][15]

Well, we can call that explanation at least not thorough enough after this unintended experiment. I had no prior knowledge of succubi when this thread started, definitely not enough to have the situation match so closely. And there was no sleep paralysis involved. I was either awake or dreaming, the encounter went through both.

Religious traditions hold that repeated sexual activity with a succubus may result in the deterioration of health or even death.

Well, that was a mistake, then. I'll remember that. Much thanks to Labtech!

OK. Totally a serious question here and please I don't mean to offend anyone of you. Do any of you smoke pot? I only smoke a few times a year. When I do I go to bed, turn out all the lights and slow my breathing down. I've gone on several......trips(?) with a woman named Justina. This is going to sound way out there and I know the pothead jokes are a coming, but I've left my body several times and met Justina in, what I call, beyond space. Each journey only last about 5 min and she never talks. She just grabs my hand and we fly past space until its nothing but white. Jesus that sounds crazy.

Dreams evidently can tap into an unconventional or distinctly creative portion of our mind, based on my own dreams. It's not that dreams are particularly amazing or insightful or truthful, but that they're pure creation, as opposed to our conscious mind. Our conscious mind seems to me to be more rigid and opinionated and so on. Perhaps I am saying this because I perceive myself to be that way.

There's a magic that happens in dreams that doesn't happen when I'm awake. It's hard to explain. It's like there's a separate part of me creating the dream that I'm not familiar with or not in control of. It makes the dreams fresher.

How much of our mind is unfamiliar or hidden from the conscious mind?

I think the dream state would be an awesome tool to make art if we could enter it at will while awake. It breaks you out of your mold and frees you.

Maybe the rigidness of the conscious mind isn't all bad, either. If dreams ruled us it might be harder to get a grip on things, since reality might be blurred.

But honestly here I am being rigid, trying to dictate what reality is.

I've had a ton of dreams where I heard people's names. I just am not strict about writing things down. Sometimes I'll write things down from a dream after waking up from them, but this is more of a recent phenomena. When I was younger, I never wrote anything down.

Anyway, I am recalling I met a young lady somewhere on hte east coast in my dream or something and she told me her name and the place she lived. If I recall, I looked up hte name of the place and I think it didn't exist. That tells me dreams aren't necessarily reality. This isn't unexpected, as I don't believe them to be.

I'm looking through my notebooks for a scribbled thing I wrote a while ago about a dream. I think I wrote the name of the lady down. In the dream, she was on the road wiht some sheep singing. I think she told me her name. And then I woke up and wrote it down. I'll edit this post if I find it.

FOUND IT: Her name was Cassie. She sang this repeatedly, "Here I am, closer to my home." I also wrote down that she said the frost on the grass is like little thundershoes. I wrote that I first saw a lone deer and then she appeared nearby and the deer transformed into a line of sheep that followed her.

I think you are right, I have been working on this idea that we have a subconscious that is not ruled by duality, and a conscious mind that is - that means that in our real lives, a lot of us are filtering out what we see or not.

However, our subconscious notices things. For example, if you happened to be racist, and you had an Hispanic gardener and a White gardener, and your tools went missing, and you blamed the Hispanic gardener because you were racist, but had actually seen the white gardener hauling tools into his van, then you might dream about how the white gardener was a thief.

And sorry about the blatant racism there, but it seems like our society has gone entirely backwards in the past 5 years, I've actually experienced people thinking that poorly.

I think that people who go through shock like P.T.S.D. can be exposed to the entire world around them, and also be more susceptible to subliminal messages in real life, I think this was the basis behind some of the programs originating from MK Ultra.

-----

Interesting, I think that there might be a difference between dreams that are processing things from everyday life and the kind of visions and dreams that come once we already are cleared of duality in everyday life.

A lot of Buddhism and meditation involves clearing our mind of attachments for this very reason - doing so exposes us to our subconscious on a conscious level, and unlocks a lot of esoteric stuff like astral travel, astral projection, etc. that is usually not possible if we are clogged up with artificial values, wants, needs, etc.

-----

A lot of times, saying something for shock value, or laughter, or freedom of speech (all of which expose how silly what we believe in is) can temporarily clear heads and allow for progress to be made. That's why I'm worried about our society heading in a direction where that kind of stuff is suddenly not allowed.

It is a fear based society - that means we are afraid to point out Truths - not a love based society - where we are pointing out Truth and making progress.

Yes, I used to for a while, although not very often, but I quit recently. I think that it could definitely be related to this.

I have found this thread to be highly informative and extremely interesting from a personal perspective.

The dream I had last week could not have been a case of sleep paralysis for me because I only get sleep paralysis when I sleep on my back and my tongue falls back in my throat cutting off my air supply. In the case of this dream I woke up on my stomach and I wasn't in a panic gasping for air when I woke. This was definately something different and when I woke up. I felt I could conquer the world.

Maybe there might be a bit of truth to what Darkbake says about succubi and how they can lead to death after prolonged sex with them. What I didn't mention to Darkbake was that I in-fact did have sex with her in my dream and it made me feel invincible when I woke.

The intoxicating feeling had me feeling euphoric for days afterwards, and I am only hoping there will be many more dreams like it. At 43 years old I can't say too many real world experiences have matched this one, and I've been around.

Yeah I agree... I can't believe it - everything just happened to come together I laughed so hard reading this thread. I think that more people should share their dream / demon woman stories.

I read this to my best friend and his dream girl is named Lilica, which means Lily and honorable warrior - however morningstar Lily's supposedly showed up after Lucifer's death when Lilith cried, in one fantasy story -

Lilica first appeared to my best friend in high school, and then later in life, became a warrior maiden who actually fought against demons and vampires (succubi?). In the ancient world, there was something like vampires that infected her, but was blessed by the moon spirit and was able to fight the curse and use its power against them while maintaining her purity due to the blessing of the moon spirit.

I just found out about it today, but it is interesting how she fends off the vampires (which my friend Amber says Lilith is, and has expressed concern about, and the other guy said were succubi).

This is weird - I totally wonder what kind of interplay we all have with our dream girl spirits.

Maybe it's a reference to Evelyn King, or Evelyn Kung

Or-

Perhaps this is just the awakening of the Goddess ?
That which has been repressed in the subconscious, in order to facilitate the experience of individuality, and polarity, rises to consciousness. Sometimes she's looking rather scary and dirty, sometimes powerful and attractive, sometimes terribly needy or terribly mean- mostly because she is energies that have been repressed, devalued, abused... and turned into their most negative forms through the process of taboo.

It's your Shadow. Your Anima
A very pivotal point for you, spiritually.

Or not. Maybe it's some sort of entity that is totally separate from you. But in my view, choosing such a view means refusing to integrate and accept that anima, which would keep her in her negative or destructive form. Transformation happens with integration- then the holy grail opens for you- she has many gifts and abilities.

Never in my life I've taken any illegal drugs. I even quit taking any alcoholic drink since last 2012. It was simply the name of a woman in an otherwise, mundane situation in a dream. I didn't even get to see or even hear the woman, not even an instruction what to do with her.

Big difference between my dream to yours after you did pot

Yeah I think your dream is a lot safer than any of ours, to be honest, even the name is not the same name as a succubi or vampiress from mythology, and she wasn't manifesting over at your friend's house telling her to stay away from you.

I like that animus reference, coquine! I'm glad you brought in the science reference, I did not know it, but I'm glad it is here now.

It is interesting, in my family, my mom and dad have opposite personalities of normal families, so it would make sense that my anima would call herself Lilith.

As far as the list goes, I don't even think I am on the Eve part, honestly - I am so far behind on female relations. I don't even desire them yet. Trust me, I want to get along with them, but they scare me. And I do have a tendency, as Jung said, to have them possess me.

They can bring life-giving development and creativeness to the personality, or they can cause petrification and physical death".[11]

Jung insisted that "a state of anima possession...must be prevented.

So it's basically like a succubus!

I like your anima idea, but the problem is, Eve and Lilith are enemies, so hmm. That could be why I am having so much trouble, I need to be treating Lilith like an animus instead of an anima. By the way, I don't think science and spirituality are necessarily exclusive.

Science and spirituality, like in this case with the succubi, can both explain the same phenomenon from different perspectives - but I'm glad you brought that here.

What about

Evelin, Evelina, Evelyn?

Ayvlin wouldn't make sense if the woman is European/German.

Any more information about the dream?

well, just because first name is Irish and last name is European doesn't mean it does not make sense. My first name is a very very Irish name, not common when I was young, and rarely spelt like mine, but our last name is French.

I like the idea that Woodwytch had about a guide introducing them self to you in a dream

Are you certain that was how it was spelled? Simple variation and very similar, Evelyn Klund, brings up plenty of hits on a search....just saying.

Quite certain... ...Although Aivlyn is quite an uncommon name, even unusual, it actually exists as a formal human name, listed as female baby names (for those choosing names of their baby girls).

Lol! Maybe because it's a human name. Also the fact nothing else was said about the name.

Maybe I should keep an eye on the name, if that name turns out to be a real person.

It sounds to me like a new spirit-guide was introducing herself to you ... maybe to offer help and guidance to a situation or experience that is about to enter your life.

This is more common than you think and introduction via dream is one of the most accessible ways for them to contact you ... just pay attention to the signs that may follow ... often in the form of synchronicities.

Woody )O(

A spirit guide with a surname.... ...Interesting!

As a Christian, I already have one, the Holy Spirit. However, I'm not your typical Christian... I don't believe everything in the Bible are God's teachings, some are purely man's opinion, even some are evil. The contradictions in the Bible are a fact, there are no wise explanations to around it. I have many more unorthodox beliefs that I think is inappropriate to discuss here.

It was in big part to the Holy Spirit how I saw the errors in the Bible and the profound many lies in mainstream Christianity... It actually annoys some of them that I often have visions, prophetic dreams and never got sick. The Truth sets you free indeed, but a half-baked religion, NO!

Sorry for the saying some religious stuff in the wrong place but yea, I already know who my guide is, it's been proven over and over thanks!

I still can't make heads or tails of my dream in OP though. Maybe it's about me, maybe it's a real person, I don't know.

Well there is another possibility ... as you can see in my mini-profile I am a Pastlife Regression Therapist (21yrs experience - long before it became popular / trendy
)

And with this in mind the name you were given in the dream may well have been another name that your soul has gone by in a past-life (just a suggestion to be considered in trying to solve the mystery of your dream).
