Clicking my way on youtube, I found this small interview of Paul T. Hellyer, former minister of defence, Canada.
Not sure if he actually is the highest ranking believer, but could be that he officially is the highest ranking believer. Anyway, link to video below...

Paul Hellyer recently stirred up global controversy when he testified before a half-dozen former US representatives that aliens exist. As Canada's former Minister of Defence, Hellyer is the first and only cabinet-ranking official from a G8 nation to publicly state a belief in extraterrestrials.

MOTHERBOARD visits Paul Hellyer at his cottage in the sleepy and scenic woods of Ontario to find out more about his extraterrestrial claims. This is Paul Hellyer in real life.

Here is the link to Hellyers testimony, citizen hearing of may 2013, for those that havent seen it yet:

I wonder if Paul Hellyer is the only high official, "coming out of closet" so to say...Anyone knows about other officials from around the world that have spoken out?

I don't know if you've seen this one. Officials from different countries hold a press conference.

This seems awfully weak testimony; not really any more significant than
any passerbyer on the street who thought they saw some strange light
in the sky. Yes, he had a high government post many years ago, but by
his own words never paid much attention to the reports. And the
handful of words from the unnamed and unverified American General;
which provided no actual usable content were very 'convenient'.

Now I'm very open minded.. but this media circus is of no positive
value whatsoever.

Please, PLEASE, prove you are a conscientious researcher by understanding Hellyer's claims are based on "feeling" not insider knowledge.

I wanna respect you in the morning, but you have to prove you are worthy.

Dont forget Javier Perez de Cuellar, the former Secretary General of the United Nations.
He was a witness to the Linda Cortile abduction case in Brooklyn NY in November 1989.

Most likely the reason Javier Perez de Cuellar doesn't admit is because if one looks at the case honestly it's full of shameless and thoroughly debunked hokum.

I encourage any openminded researcher who seeks the truth to read the following and fact-check and vet the info for themselves.

A Critique of Budd Hopkins' Case of the UFO Abduction of Linda Napolitano (Cortille)

Belief is fine, blind acceptance is even okay, spreading fiction because one wants to believe it is not.

I watched but didn't make it past half of the movie. My contacts tell me not to trust mr. Hellyer's contacts. There was some misunderstanding who is who. All I know what I have learned from spirits from other planets whom I may not call but they send me information, is that humanity should not allow spirits from other planets into their own immaterial world. But I am just a civilian but I do believe I may have a point. They want our planet, but I and many others want my planet as well. But no alien incursions or transgressions. Asking my ancestors keeps giving me this same answer, no other planet life forces on Earths' domain. Which is the solar system, even though no spaceship is ready yet. The safe places to think about would be Earth, flat level but not spaceships or stations, that is for the minds of astronauts only. And only when they are actually in flight. Also they reiterate the importance of gravity and how even thinking of flying is out of the question, except for trained pilots when they actually fly in the physical. Otherwise they must do with simulators on the ground. That is all I can say about the subject.

And another thing then by exception. There are no defenders of the Earth, there are no enemies in space and fantasizing about it would not be wise. If people already have been trained for interplanetary travel or advanced spaceflight or have been spying for advanced technology than that was a mistake which can be corrected by professionals, meaning specific exercises to close the mind again to the Earth configuration. Also no one can hurt eachother psychically. If you read this and you think it's all hogwash that's a good reaction but if you feel let down or anger then it's a bad thing, further away from home.

Getting more information, I don't know what they are talking about and I don't want to know. Nuclear weapons don't have anything to do with spirits from others planets, either dead or alive. No thoughts can kill a man or woman, there's nothing humans can with the thought of a nuke. It also doesn't matter if spirits, again in material or immaterial form can visit our planet, we can go to them when we have learned, they do not need to go to us or make anyone believe our thoughts can pollute our minds.

Your "debunking" source is a fanciful but entirely baseless jumble of unsubstantiated horsecrap. Looking at some of your recent threads I had been considering that you might know what you're talking about. Now I know better. I can see why folks might want this case to be fake, but I'm unconvinced by the efforts. Just my opinion of course.

How so?

You post this to begin with

I found this small interview of Paul T. Hellyer, former minister of defence, Canada.

When was he Minister of defense and when did he retire?

Former to me means he hold no rank what so ever, he previously might have but not currently.

What case?

Its a former member of the Canadian Government sharing his beliefs, not any insider knowledge.

I think you'll find that the highest ranking believer is the Duke of Edingburgh Prince Philip (Husband of Queen Elizabeth) who has a very keen interest in the subject and follows it closely. As reported by Admiral Hill Norton, Tim Good and other sources over the years, including the excellent UK UFO magazine, which saw it's demise after the quick and rather strange death of its Founder and editor the late Graham Birdsall.

Prince Philip is also thought by some to be the elusive 'Pindar'!

I bet he is a belieber too!

I take pause when any "high ranking offcial" uses the term extraterrestrial. Of course that's just me. Not saying they don't exist, just that something tells me we needed look so far away to find the source.

Inner-dimensional rings a little more true.

Government psyops rings a little more true.

Demons and spirits ring a little more true.

And there are plenty of high ranking offcials who have gone on record. In fact, one did an AMA......(Nick Pope).

I normally would have ignored any post that dogged me about that because I posted the source and folk can take it or leave it.

Since it was you, however, and I hadn't read it in awhile, I figured I better go back and read it again to make sure I still felt it was solid.

After rereading, I still feel that it makes a good case and certainly knocks some glaring and huge holes in aspects of the whole thing. It's not definitive, I agree, but, imo, extremely damaging and detailed enough.

If I hadn't respected your opinion I wouldn't have reread it. I still respect your opinion, but we disagree on this one.

Now A Note to CryonicAngel: I see now that you made no claims about Hellyer's credibility, you just pointed out that he was one of the highest-ranking believers. Sorry I kind of bounced hard!!
