HOUSTON (KTRK) -- More than a dozen people were shot, including two people who were killed, when gunfire rang out at a house party in northwest Harris County overnight, according to officials.
It happened on Enchanted Creek near FM 529. The Harris County Sheriff's Office says at least 17 people were shot in all. Of the deceased, one was dead at the scene. The other died after being transported to the hospital.
As for the injured, we're told one person is in critical condition. A total of four people were taken to Memorial Hermann Hospital and three people treated at Ben Taub. Eight to nine people were taken to Methodist West Hospital.
At this point, we don't know what led up to the shooting, but we do know there is an active search underway now for suspects.
According to the Harris County Sheriff's Office, between 60 and 70 people were at the party when the shooting happened.

According to the Harris County Sheriff's Office, five to eight people were shot on Enchanted Creek near FM 529.
Life Flight officials confirmed they were called to pick up multiple patients.
No other information was immediately available.
