You need at least 20 posts to start your own thread....

Welcome to the forum by the way... you'll get those posts in no time

I am having the same problem and when I asked the MODS they didn't know why. I was told I was not post banned at all and asked if there was a minimum of posts before I could start my own threads. So 20 relies or posts to start a new thread?

Last I heard you need to have posted 20 times before you can start a thread with the exception of the Introduction forum. There you may start a thread to introduce yourself and hopefully post 20 times in the thread. Or just post in various threads you are interested in.

Welcome to ATS,

Seem to be having this issue to. I don't know what kind of jackasses are in charge of web design for ATS but they really suck at it. ATS ain't what it used to be thats for sure. Used to be much easier to be able to create a thread & ATS overall used to be far more user friendly. It was also very nice not having ad choices bugging you with the same godamn ad on every padge like it does now. Had an old account back before (what seems like) they started forcing us to sign up with socail media (dick move ATS) after not being able to login to my old account I ditched that account for a new one via my fake twitter account.

Also I think they really should ditch that 'you need to create 20 posts to be able to create threads' ruel. Thats just dumb & theres not much of a benefit that I can see other than making new users or returning users with a new account (like myself) frustrated. If they refuse to abolish the 20 post to be allowed to create threads rule they should at least set it to a more reasonable number like 5 or 10 posts.

Eek, should probably put up a notification about needing 20 posts.

Wow, it's like a mystery puzzle, where we have to figure out why the buttons aren't working "new thread button" or is missing, or is only available on one thread or another, is missing on the forum, etc.

A little more explanation on the intro page (that showed after registration was completed) might help.

Please note that spamming is not the appropriate way to go about things. If I am correct I believe the requirement is now a mere five contributions before authoring a thread.

Take a while, enjoy the site, interact with the other members. You will avoid trouble and the resulting thread will probably benefit from it.

Here are the Terms and Conditions of Use

Oh, so I have to comment first... cool! Truthfully I've been lerking this site since close to the beginning now I've come to need the ATS community to think something out with me
