Someone earlier posted a picture of the White House website that explained in detail that you will get to keep your insurance. Yeah! Someone forgot to take that down.

Well I guess this one did it and good. Today, Obama publicly apologized. Although I wish he would have said much much more... Isn't it about time that he owns up to this one? Considering that he knew since 2010 that people would lose their coverage.

But wait a minute, I was giving him credit, but something is missing here... He never actually admitted to WHY Americans lost their insurance.

"I am sorry that they are finding themselves in this situation based on assurances they got from me," he told NBC News in an exclusive interview at the White House.

"We've got to work hard to make sure that they know we hear them and we are going to do everything we can to deal with folks who find themselves in a tough position as a consequence of this."

Im sorry, but that wasn't a real apology. He needs to go on all networks and stand before the American people and say I am truly sorry I mislead you, in other words, I lied to you, and for that I am truly sorry. But he cant do that because he has balls the size of BBs.
Obama’s comments come 10 days after NBC News’ Lisa Myers reported that the administration has known since the summer of 2010 that millions of Americans could lose their insurance under the law. Obama has made repeated assurances that “if you like your health plan, you will be able to keep your health plan” with Obamacare.

He just had a meeting with the Dems that are up for re election. Sounds to me like he is preparing to soften the blow for them.

Fact remains though, they voted for the damn thing, so suffer the consequences!!!

Unintended Consequence

This is an unintended consequence. The Health Insurance Corporations have been selling useless paper for decades. Policies with high deductibles, high co-pays, coverage caps, and exclusions that rendered the policies worthless. Those policies were just a ticket to get in the door at the hospitals and clinics that 'announced' the ticket holder as having money to burn. Owning one of those polices basically stated that you had insurance coverage that would actually pay for very little, however you could afford to pay the bill out-of-pocket, because you had money to pay a premium for worthless paper each month.

It is regrettable that some have been notified that you have been paying for a sub-standard Health Insurance product. I sincerely hope that you will go to the Health Insurance Exchange and find a policy that meets the minimum standards set by the ACA at an affordable price.

President Obama apologized for this unintended consequence. Health Insurance is still purchased on a free market exchange. The policies provided on these exchanges are regulated to meet minimum coverage standards. The President has no control over what measures the Health Insurance Executives take to continue to express their opposition to actually having to pay your health care expenses, rather than counting your monthly premium payment as pure profit.

The Health Insurance Executives could have upgraded your policy to meet minimum standards at no additional charge, but they didn't. The Health Insurance Executives chose to send cancellation letters instead.

Maybe he can now start apologizing for all the other crap that he has brought down on the American People.

really?.....bush didn't even apologize for faking facts about Iraq...and it cost thousands of American lives...but, this president has to apologize for trying to get milllions of people healthcare.

tell me..would you lie to get your son cancer treatment???...

screw this...Obama should step up to the plate...and look right into the camera, and say... i'm trying to get you healthcare that you can count on, intstead of losing your ass if you have some type of illness, and your insurance company says "sorry, we don't cover that".....

and what if he had private conversations with the insurance CEO's at that time, and they said, they would be fine with it, and told him they would not drop people...

war isn't just about weapons or fighting enemies yourself, try to remember that when making democrats seem more innocent, do you not remember syria, lybia, egypt, etc? democrats have always preferred deception, subversion and infiltration of opponents ranks, they are the same monster as republicans, but they just play the good guys on the surface. the good guy-bad guy routine always is effective in wearing down a persons defenses and making them act just as desired, in a way which they find useful, it's why the cycle continues as it always has regardless of form or name.
both parties originated from the same single party after all yet both look like the federalists which their predecessors originally opposed back then.

Government has no place in healthcare, it will do more harm than good. As for his apology...whatever.

OMG, you are so very right! I remember hearing about this meeting. Maybe the Dems told him to to stop the bull or that he will forever tarnish the party?

You know this party business does anger me to no end. Our representatives should vote with their heart and brains instead of following one another like a bunch of sheep. The dems voted 100% to not protect the "keep your coverage" promise. You mean to tell me that every last one of them think the same? Yeah right, huh?

Apologies are cheap. What you do is put all of those people that lost their insurance on a special version of ObamaCare plan, at the rate that they were paying when they lost their personal insurance, and the coverage that they had, until the new plan has all the bugs out of it. Then, deal with how to get them affordable insurance using the full resources of ObamaCare.

The insurance companies and government are smart, in an evil kind of way that is. Its called ponerology.

Since millions could never afford to pay outrageous premiums to private companies, and business wasnt as profitable as it could be, just use the government as leverage(a crutch) to force your greed on the populace.

Who needs healthy competition when you are "too big to fail"? Supply and demand is capitalist and the bilderberger "socialists" wont have any of it. I use "socialist" in the loosest possible way but I am sure millions will take it at face value.

Whatever. I am tired of the neocons "bashing" the neoliberals. I was kinda hoping that everyone would see it as a freakin bailout for the insurance companies by now. Auto companies got one, banks got one, foreign nations get them all the time, etc.

Obama is a big screw up and a class A A hole. There is no denying that.


But people do seem to forget that Bush was too and why you have a militised police state and out of control NSA. He was not for small goverment, at least not where freedom and law were concerned! And his foreign policy would make the founding father throw up in there mouths.

I think most are worried people will foget that and automatically vote repulican next time, whene neither the Republicans or Democrates should get your vote. Just rember that next time your in your voteing booths.

And yes Im a Brit but what baffoon you vote in next affects us as the UK always gets dragged into US busissness in someway

Otherwise you could vote for the next republican candidate and chances are you will still be in the exactly the same mess you are in now. Republican or Democrates? Does it matter anymore surely after the last baffoon and the current baffoon you have now it shows there is no diffrence between the too? And that you need a diffrent party and a diffrent option right? Or you will just get screwed still just by politican of a diffrent name. You want a smaller freerer goverment right?
