Are you one of those people who i've read on this site that you "check with your higherself." before you post things? or are you one of the disbelievers of the higherself? Personally I am skeptical to the existence of a Higherself

What is your higherself?
Higher self is a term associated with multiple belief systems, but its basic premise describes an eternal, omnipotent, conscious, and intelligent being, who is one's real self.

Different religious people try to explain the higher self.

Christian: In the Christian Interpretation, the Bible teaches that all beings contain a fragment of the Holy Spirit that ties them to the higher self, or God. The Holy Spirit is widely discussed by the church, but the idea of the individual higher consciousness is not taught as frequently. The church preaches that the soul is what connects us to God and that we must honor and keep our souls pure by following the morals and ethics of the bible.[2]

Hinduism: In Hinduism, the higher self is one and the same with the Jiva or individual self. With this perspective, the Hindu faith generally teaches that the higher self, or Atman is not an object possessed by an individual, rather the self is the subject which perceives. In his book, The Higher Self, Deepak Chopra utilizes the views of the Hindi denomination to support his claims concerning the divine force that is acquired with the awareness of the self. Hinduism teaches that through the examination of self-knowledge, or “atma jnana,” one can attain salvation by comprehending the true self.[3]

New Age: Most New Age literature defines the Higher self as an extension of the self to a more advanced and incorporeal realm. This Higher Self is essentially an extension of the worldly self. With this perspective, New Age text teaches that in exercising your relationship with the higher self, you will gain the ability to manifest your desired future before you. In other words, the self creates its own reality when in union with the Higher Self.[4]

In the law of one ra material RA claims that the higherself is ourselves in the future.

What is your experience with the higherself? Do you believe in its existence?
I just want to ask how do you describe the higherself and how do you communicate with it if its real?
How do you know you are not like me and diagnosed with schizophrenia?

Do people believe they are really communing with the holy spirit or a more advanced version of themselves?

If I can't put it on my resume or list of qualifications and certifications without getting laughed, or squinted at suspiciously out of a meeting, I personally don't see any value in it.

I mean, it sounds almost like willful D.I.D (Dissociative Identity Disorder) on purpose.
I'm not saying it is, but, when people start talking about their "other selves", especially as if it's something to be proud about like some amazing accomplishment, well, it doesn't generally give the impression of stalwart psychological fitness.

From my perspective it's almost equivalent to someone saying "Hey guys! I successfully achieved Downs Syndrome today! I now have a valid qualification for the Special Olympics!", or "Look everyone! I went out and got Leprosy on purpose, so, now I can't feel pain if something falls off! Isn't that awesome? I'm so special!"

Granted those are extreme and exaggerated examples for comparison, but, they illustrate the degree of silliness talking to one's "higher self" and admitting to it portrays and impresses.

This, of course, is just personal opinion in detailing my own perspective and not meant by any degree to give anyone insult.

What benefit does talking to one's "higher self" give anyway?

Strip away everything that you falsely believe to be your self--all your likes and dislikes, your wants and aversions--and what remains is your higher self.

This can be done through meditation, through qigong, use of substances whose names are unmentionable, through other assorted spiritual practices like shamanic breathing, or in a variety of other ways. But regardless the method, the goal is to eliminate all excess "baggage" from the personality, to scrape away the outer coating of subjectivity to see what's hiding beneath the grime and dirt and squalor accumulated over a lifetime (or lifetimes!) of sensory inundation.

The higher self usually manifests first during meditation, appearing as an inner voice that gently reminds you to do the right (moral) thing in any situations in your life that are troubling you. Think of it as a version of your conscience that grows more refined over time.

As to the question of whether it's your higher voice or a symptom of schizophrenia, to that I'd say: as long as the voice is telling you to be a better person, to do the right things, to discard from your life the irrelevant and useless and immoral, who cares if the voice is real or not?

We all could use some good advice and encouragement to start doing the right things in life. So as long as that inner voice is giving you good advice and working to make you a better person, roll with it.

(But if it ever starts telling you to kick puppies and punch grandmothers, consider tuning it out.)

Philosophically, I view the "higher self" as an INITIAL awareness of your body, your thoughts, emotions, and your environment BEFORE (key) getting caught in the THINKING of you, your thoughts, emotions, and your environment FIRST.

A higher awareness that lets SPACE come in between what is happening (either inside or outside) and your thoughts/feeling/reactions to the stimuli itself. Watching what is happening without a compulsory need to react automatically first (unless of course a reaction is needed for your survival).

An ACTIVE awareness of your environment and your body and your thoughts/emotions without identifying with them first - looking at them from the outside so you can make a clear and conscious decision for true, and possibly more beneficial, sincere, and creative reaction/action.

Does that make sense?

This is the way that I view the higher-self, or higher-mind. If you know what chakras are, your crown chakra is connected to your higher-self, your higher-self is your connection with and to "god", or the universe, who and whatever your beliefs fall under. Your higher mind finds the universal selfhood that we share with all God's children as all-is-one and one-is-all. Your higher mind is your root-connection between people places things and all of creation. Your higher self sees all time as one moment, all people as one person, and all views as an expression of one view expressed in an infinitely creative and expansive set of views. Like taking one line and splitting it 8 billion different ways. I hope this helps. Namaste. :-)

To me I think my higher self is my conscience, its what makes me want to understand the world around me, its what makes me want to be a better person, to share knowledge, ideas and beliefs, to gain knowledge and understanding through cooperation. Its the nagging thought in the back of my mind..."WHY?"

The "higher self" is a methodology. It is a continual goal that may never be reached, nor is it supposed
to be reached.

It is the same as some Eastern meditation rites. A master of the meditative arts may tell his student to meditate by solving the following:

"You are standing on the very top of a 30 foot pole. Take one step higher and remain there"

The point would be that there is no correct answer. This is merely an exercise to focus ones thoughts and attempt to see all possible answers to a given problem.

The same can be said about the "higher self"

There is no grand "enlightenment" that goes beyond improving yourself on a day-to-day basis. Which is what the "higher-self" is.

The higher-self is realizing that you must constantly strive and work hard at making yourself a "better" person. There is no end. From day one until the final day, you can continue to improve EVERYTHING about yourself, without limitation. This is the life of those same masters of the arts of meditation, they merely do their best to improve their physical and mental state of well being every day, as well as working hard to establish a peaceful coexistence with the rest of the planet.

This is your "enlightenment", your "higher-self". It is the part of you that you don't listen to when you do wrong by someone. It is also the part of you that you listen to closely when it tells you good job for helping that person out.

Your "higher-self" is nothing more than you merely embracing everything about yourself and presenting you for what you are, recognizing where you need to improve your life, and then doing so peacefully.

It is not some complicated, other-worldly, embodiment of existence; Rather so simple people often stumble over it.

Improve your every day life, everyday. Treat others with respect and honor. Love yourself for who you are. Congratulations my friend, you are now enlightened.

The belief in a higher self is a round-about declaration that one is unsatisfied with his regular self.

when describing 1z Higher self 1 is describing that part of me that is not governed by the laws my physical self are governed by. It is a part of 1 that is located shall it be call elsewhere... But also here. There are no words or voices heard for that's like talking to yourself. Its more like Astral Ethereal related but not entirely, that is just how i can describe it from this physical perspective with these words of communications to others.

Consciousness is the communication used. When there are situations that may occur during physical life positive or negative the HS is like a conscious alert/guide. It SEEs some things that cannot be seen in the physical that pertain to the physical however. SEEs things like deception from others as well as LOVE that 1 may overlook or not detect why being part of this realm. And so Steers automatically the here self, when the here self is confused or unsure of steps needed taken or not.

Some of the things shared related to RVing and Astral Travel are associated with that part of 1.
For it feels as if this reality on EA*RTH is observed and interacted with by the HS thru the here self... From a Higher point of EXISTENCE. Just like the physical body has parts of it used to interact with this physical realm like hands/feet or tail
The total body or (EA*RTH environment suit) is an extension of this HS used to interact specifically here.
For the HS may have potential to descend upon this realm where the physical or here self is, but it may cause the physical here self to cease as well as expose to this realm energy not fit here that would be misunderstood here by others. Somewhat like if the EA*RTH or OTHER environment suit(s) didn't require extremities to interact with said realm of existence then why need hands/feet or a tail... to interact so why need here self if Higher self came and can do much more, here then EA*RTH environment suit. If you can uses kinesis on a advanced level do you need hands? If you could float or maneuver without walking do you need feet? If you can SEE and telepathically read deception in your face do you need a tail to go behind the deceiver to better see them FULLY? No you wouldn't, so why if your Higher self descended would YOU require the EA*RTH or Other environment suit to interact any longer...

If you had attributes that would interact with matter here as if these attributes are antimatter like in mental and physical affects, would you knowing the result still descend?
Or is it better to incarnate-manifest- thru birth or transmigrate into a deceptive kind who attacked you previously into physical or metaphysical form that is related to area of INTRA... To 1 its better to become part of the existing materials part of the realm if interest hence EA*RTH environment suit or other.

The Higher self to 1 is like the ORIGINAL YOU from beginning ETERNAL... @ times when in Astral mode some appearances are perceivable by the observer as 1 feels its possible to SEE the Higher self's form. And it doesn't always have to be associated with any form understood fully here.

EX: some outside observers may think from EA*RTH or OTHER perspective you appear as a glowing Butterfly Insectoid Draconaz or a some other form of LIGHT / Plasma depending on the observers visual perceptions and technologies. But there where the Higher self exist you may be seen as something else by other Higher Self's aware and present there.

Its still somewhat challenging for me personally to grasp it all from this perspective and LEVEL of Awareness, this is were the consciousness tries to filter implanted images shared from books-tv-stories when trying to see the Higher self from this EA*RTH perspective.
Sort of like existing bacteria within the environment suits trying to understand the body or SEE the body the bacterial are present within... Challenging.

NAMASTE*******

One way of understanding a higher self is that we are not limited to the common senses for insight.

Hallucinogens could possibly help you figure out your question. Aldous Huxley does an excellent job of describing hallucinogenic experiences and how they connect a person to their higher self.

Tulpa

("to build" or "to construct") also translated as "magical emanation",[3] "conjured thing" [4] and "phantom" [5] is a concept in mysticism of a being or object which is created through sheer spiritual or mental discipline alone. It is defined in Indian Buddhist texts as any unreal, illusory or mind created apparition. According to Alexandra David-Néel, tulpas are "magic formations generated by a powerful concentration of thought." It is a materialized thought that has taken physical form and is usually regarded as synonymous to a thoughtform.

Onetime i made a noise go from inside of my head to outside of my ears,
and how did you know that there is a mysterious tapping on my wall when im thinking hard

The experiences made me believe parts in the following video. where they say Demons of your own design.

it made me believe that everything is the manifestation of our imagination.
i believed that everything was made out of thought because of the holographic universe;
and the following video described to me how God or a God can manifest reality from their mind.

From the way I understand it, the higher self is the spirit consciousness of yourself.

It is that part of you that is behind the sub-conscious. You have Conscious, sub-conscious, and super conscious (the higher self)

It is the part of you that is connected to the soul and spirit world, which is your true being.

That is the simplest explanation I can give from what I understand it to be.

You're Higher Self is You. You are. I am. Infinite Soul/Oversoul, outside all the tests and thoughtscape lessons, in simulations, one could even all HS Mom/Dad. Though we have Mom/Dad and Grandmother/Grandfather, Great Grandmother/Great/Grandfather an ultimately in the fractals wherein each soul is infinite, our Highest Highest Self is God/Goodness or the Infinite Consciousness.

Your Higher Self is the Master Gm in the game, not restricted to linear time, can enter into any scene and do what is needed.

We can all try to explain and put into our own words what the higher self really is. It certainly won't give OP a way to become open to the idea/thought of it.

It is great that you understand that the idea of the higher self is in existence in almost every major belief system. What a coincidence don't you agree? Certainly we all universally agree that water quenches our thirst. The belief systems certainly agree that universally we have a higher self. But what reason should it give you to believe in the idea?

The clue to it, is in the name it self 'higher self'. If you want to find proof of it or communicate/experience with ones higher self. All it takes is a few steps, that I'm sure you and every being in this universe is very much capable of doing.

Feel, Think, Act, and most importantly 'Be' Higher than your physical self.

Go Beyond self and you will reach 'SELF'

Actually, that one does have an "answer." That's a famous zen koan which represents the final step a student must take before reaching enlightenment. After climbing to the top of the "pole" and catching a glimpse of enlightenment, the student must let go of everything they've attained--even let go of the self--to go further and transcend the world entirely.

I do not think that you are presenting the Higher Self correctly. It is not a "It" that you communicate with. Neither is the Higher Self something that you "communicate" with.

It would be a bit more appropriate to refer to the higher self as something to connect to rather than communicate with. After all it is yourself and why would you communicate with your self.
