Piggies are friends not food!

Hello i decided to join because this forum has a wide range of topics that i am interested in.

I just wanted to say i am a devout vegetarian, and find it horrifying that such cute things like baby piglets which are even cuter than human babys, and more intelligent than human babys can be eaten by people

Sorry If they didn't want to be eaten they would evolve to taste bad.
Also If we were all veggies how many pigs would we have? not many because we wouldn't need to breed them so we are doing the Pig specie a favour by eating them.

I bet that one in your avatar would taste so nice

Just take likkle piggy and pop him whole in a deep fat fryer for 5 mins and enjoy.

I had pet pigs when I was a child. One stayed a pet until after she had several litters of piglets. Her name was Sally.

I know it sounds cold, but then we ate her.

I still love bacon, ham, sausage and especially a good pork shoulder roast.

Why are you only sticking up for pigs? Cows are delicious too. Venison, elk, buffalo, chicken, fish....all very good. Calling people monsters for disagreeing with you is a bad way to introduce yourself.

I avoid wonderful oxygen making plants myself and try to exclusively eat meat, but to each his own.

Sorry you feel so bad about cute tasty animals being eaten for food. Unfortunately we wouldn't be here today had we not killed animals, but going forward from here there is little reason to keep doing it.

Hello and welcome to ATS....good to meet you and sorry about the necrovores. They pretty much see vegans and vegetarians as targets, so be prepared for a rough ride. Personally, I intend to ignore all of them until they evolve to the point where they can construct an intelligent, informed, compassionate and respectful conversation. I'm not holding my breath.

I've been vegetarian for 25 years and have recently made the switch to almost completely vegan diet. Harder than it sounds, but worth it. And yes...the piggy in your avatar is just the cutest thing. I would love him and keep him as a pet for my dog to have as his best friend.

I used to eat flesh, pork bellies my fave, decided no more
Now I am an alcoholic so only dead and rotten plants are consumed in the interest of promoting life.

Oh I don't discriminate I would eat a dog also (and have)...I have had Monkey Brains in 'Nam, bulls balls, pickled sharks eyeballs and guinea pig (roasted).
