Cosmic acid cloud to hit earth on June 1 2014

According to Dr. Albert Sherwinski (Cambridge), an acid cloud is to hit earth on June 1 2014.
This piece of news is present on French speaking internet media, and also on the French version of a Russian news website. I found nothing in English-speaking media. Not even an official denial.
Can anyone confirm me that this is a hoax?

Seems to be an oldie, probably just a rehash.

Perhaps, just maybe, you weren't aware that the WWN is a joke newspaper (at least one friend of mine had never heard of it), so in that case you are marginally forgiven. But the next step to check the article's veracity would be to google the name of the scientist mentioned in the article, Dr. Albert Sherwinski. All you get are: references to the WWN article. Perhaps that might tip you off..

Weekly world news is the original source, and although Batboy apparently doesn't exist, sometimes the staff here feels it qualifies as a source, *Much to my chagrin.

It seems they sometimes want the real hard hitting issues up for debate, like whether or not this reporter was eaten by a 80ft dinosaur…

There doesn't appear to be anyone in the astronomical community in Cambridge named Albert Sherwinski that I can find.
