If you sue a cop or fed, that comes out of the tax payer's pocket, not the idiots who screwed up. Sure, the government should cover those suits as well I guess.....

I would agree to most of that, and many states already have that in place today. In fact, a hospital already has to provide healthcare to anyone that is sick.

As the doctors only in it for the money leave, they will be replaced by doctors who are in it for the RIGHT reasons.

There will be a period of pain which will pay off in the end...

The only pain will be on the people and it WON'T pay off. Death is not reversible and it's pretty hard to fix, especially with time.

Actually it's the best path out of the kind of hell you would drag the world into.

Charity or social support is secondary. It's a surplus, the largesse of the producers. It's what you do when you have met your own requirements.

You do not take the food from your starving child's mouth and give it to a stranger. You must first live for yourself and your family. When you have food for yourself and your family, you have the strength to work your fields and raise your crops, then and only then are you in a position to give to help a stranger if you wish.

Your biggest responsibility to society is to ensure that you never need it, that you never need to go begging to it. The strongest society would be built only of those who say "screw society" and fend for themselves, because there would be nothing left that society needs to provide them, other than to exist for its own sake. Society would become a meeting of equals; not because all have succeeded, but because all have tried and have accepted responsibility for their actions.

"Screw society" is the healthiest approach that can be taken, because it is the only way to have a sustainable society. It is also recognition of the importance of accepting responsibility for our own lives, including successes and failures. Your society is unfortunately built around pampering to an increasing majority who will accept responsibility for nothing and demand all worth without ever giving its value back - after all, you're always there ready to snatch the food from one to give to another.

The right reason to do anything is for your own reason. Be it a hobby, income or a love of the craft.
Good luck finding brilliant doctors who will work for free.

As a matter of fact, good luck finding a competent doctor who will work for less than the cost of living.
