I agree, Ive played every incarnation of grand theft and the most recent one is by far the biggest, best and most fun. I do however totally disagree with the name of the game mentioned above, sounds like someone has made a typical war game like desert storm and given it a provocative name to cash in on the publicity it will recieve because of this. I'd like to see someone make a manistream war game with an emphasis on the middle east sorting out there own affairs using their own unique tech and weapons and military tactics, tho I cant see it happening in reality. Its just a shame you cant input a cheat into SanAndreas where you can turn everyone on the streets into congressment or politicians (Bush/Blair), then i would never do anothe mission again hehehehe.

Don't worry. I'm sure this game will/does suck and no one will buy it.

Yeah, I played a game called "America's Most Wanted" or something like that. It was shamelessly blatant propoganda designed for brainless folks to take out their patriotic agression on evil terrorists.

In the first mission you get dumped in the middle of radical Muslim central and they're all out to kill you simply because you're American (they shout things like, "DEATH TO ALL AMERICANS! KILL THE INFIDELS!" etc etc). The only objective is to keep walking and killing more terrorists in increasingly bloody ways. Meanwhile your character keeps saying, "This is crazy! What's wrong with these people?" as wave after wave of toweled heads rush at you like lemmings to the cliff.

You are given all the biggest baddest weapons right at the start to ensure major terrorist death and carnage. The terrorists even lie down on the ground and pretend to be dead, then jump up as you come close and shoot you again, the dastardly devils. And to top it all off, you get volumes of extra points for shooting wounded guys in the head as they're screaming on the ground. A sprite pops up, "EXECUTION: + 10,000 Pts!!"

Definitely the funniest, stupidest and scariest game I ever played.

I don't see what the big deal is. There are tons of shoot 'em up games on the market. War games are huge at the moment.

FYI, there are games like this that are made exclusively for our Government so that our soldiers can use them and get some practice fighting urban terrorism.

Do you dissapprove of cop and robber games? Were a police officer is running about chasing criminals? I understand this game as one where a SOLDIER chases TERRORISTS. By you dissaproving of people chasing terrorists does that mean you support terrorism? Sounds like it to me...

Do we live in a world where terrorists have a compassionate following? I have a feeling that you my friend have never been touched by a terrorist act. I think your toon would change of it had. Sad...

The issue is not the fact that the enemies are terrorists. There has to be an enemy for this kind of game, and terrorists are definitely the flavor of the month. Before it was the commies; Red Alert, etc.

The issue is the ridiculous demonization of Muslims and the fact that this is a propoganda tool. I haven't seen the game described by udsad, but the one I played was pathetic. If Muslims were playing games where the objective was to kill Americans, hijack planes and plant bombs in buildings, we'd be up in arms saying, "Look at the propoganda that they fill their children's minds with. They're training kids to be terrorists and hate Americans!"

I have a feeling that you my friend have never been touched by a terrorist act.

You seem to think that anyone who says anything against US propoganda and killing is a "terrorist-lover". I remember the KKK had a very similar term for people who supported black rights. The point your missing is that these 'yella-bellied. terrorist-lovers' are condemning violence on both sides.

Right. Wrong. It's all a matter of which side of the fence you're on. Terrorists do not have a compassionate following, peace does. Welcome to the New World Order; you'll obviously enjoy the ride.

No, they actually dont play such games. They are taught to hate every non-muslim as soon as the can they say their first "Allah"

Hey, I dont think we should even be there. But there is NOTHING wrong with a video game portaying good vs evil. I.e. the hunting down of terrorists. Less you forget there are ACTUAL terrorists out there and god help you if you dont think they need to be hunted down.

have you guys played, Escape From the Cooperate Conglomerates?

one wicked game, tottaly intense it scored a 8.5 for its realistic depiction of fascist pork barrel government policies.

im really fed up with propaganda i hate it brainwashing has taken over almost every aspect of gaming, played the new command and conquer game??? the original had the soviets, but this new one has IRAQ, US, CHINA i mean it is so bad everytime i see images on TV it looks identical to the game play. why do companys have to make games corelating to US interest??? it really makes me sick

I very seriously doubt that this game is targeting and demonizing ALL Muslims. The game is about targeting terrorists. Right now the U.S. happens to be fighting a war on terrorism and most of the terrorists that are attempting to kill us happen to be Muslims.

I think you need to keep it in perspective. The game title clarifies that it is against terrorists, NOT Muslims.

he didnt say ALL muslims, have you even played the games? do you realize the scope in which the US game companies (mostly EA) churns out crappy game after crappy game all conformed to the US agenda. its total hogwash, i would be further outraged if i was not a lifelong gamer and had an ounce of faith left in the game makers to get their act together and put out some decent bias free games, it would apear as if games are the new choice for voicing popular propaganda ideals.

I just don't see what the big hoopla is. There is really nothing in REAL life that is 'bias free'. Bias has been around since the beginning of time. And it's always been in video games even if it did start with bias against aliens.

The game companies are developing games based on what players want and what the market is. War games are big at the moment because of what is happening in real life. No surprise there.

No, I don't play these games but I am constantly exposed to them. My husband makes them for a living so in addition to creating games he also has to keep up with what is currently on the market ... or at least that's what he tells me when he comes home from Toys R Us loaded down with new games! Personally I wish all games were Crash Bandicoot type games and I wish that there wasn't a market for things like Redneck Rampage, Grand Theft Auto, etc. but there is and unless you want there to be censorship your only option is to not buy the games you are opposed to.

Hmm, well said.
I know that market forces have an effect on these things. And I know that there's a fine line between protecing people and censorship.

I must state again that I haven't played the game in question. My comments were in referral to a game that I played myself, and I was a little disturbed at the message it was portraying. It just seems to be part of the whole "yeah, let's nuke the whole, towel-headed lot of 'em" attitude. This is the kind of thing that prodcues attitudes like a poster above who stated that they are taught to hate non-Muslims from the cradle. You can imagine a Muslim mother suckling her child while showing him the Quran. She then shows him the American flag and slaps him, before showing the Quran again and letting him suckle. Yeah, right.

Whereas before you had nameless or fictional enemies, now you play games against Osama Bin Laden and legions of psychotic Arabs. If you don't believe me, check out the game. It seems the ones who are being taught from an early age are in fact OUR OWN children. I'm sorry, propoganda is propoganda, whether it makes a penny for your husband along the way or not.
