Ok my pal asked me to see a gig of a new band he had heard and lent me a tape with a few songs on (Pavement) and we went along (The boardwalk in Manchester) and it is a small place only about 50 or so people was there and I was waiting for the band and some guy taps me on the shoulder and I turn around to see a short long haired older dude with crazy eyes grinning at me.
I said sumat like "you ok mate" and he starts babbling on about getting to the front of the stage so I just said "push through not many here tonight", the band came on at that moment and this little crazy guy pushes through the small crowd and climbs up on stage...he was the drummer Gary Young...
Absolute great gig and afterwards we had a drink or 5 with the band and I happened to have a tape of my band with me and I gave it the drummer (he was off his head on something) and he said he would listen to it.
Great band, mad drummer what more do you want?

Last one saw this band support Nirvana (their 1st Uk gig) and I liked Midway still way more than nirvana.




*downs pint, gets up, knocks over Beezers whiskey and falls asleep in the corner*
