As for Obama it is not a matter of micro managing (firstly one would have to be capable of managing something, anything) but rather his plan to subdue, wussify and dominate the military. No doubt its not a good plan but it is his plan. IMO.

A star for you my friend, I could not have said it better. The Marine must have been sickened to do his duty but he did it. He no doubt would have rather have charged an enemy company than be so humiliated.
And don't think for a second Obama didn't know what he was doing....payback was his agenda.
