Israel on Monday recognized New York Mayor Michael Bloomberg as the first ever recipient of the $1 million Genesis Prize, an award popularly dubbed the "Jewish Nobel Prize." The Genesis Prize Foundation said Bloomberg was honored as the first winner for his long record of public service and philanthropy. Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu will present the prize to Bloomberg early next year in Israel. Bloomberg will then announce to which philanthropic cause he will donate the money. Bloomberg, whose third and final term as New York mayor is drawing to an end, said he was honored to be the prize's first recipient.
“The people who are worried about privacy have a legitimate worry,” Mr. Bloomberg said during a press conference in Midtown. “But we live in a complex world where you’re going to have to have a level of security greater than you did back in the olden days, if you will. And our laws and our interpretation of the Constitution, I think, have to change.”

How can a nut like Bloomberg win any kind of prize? And can someone point out the great things he did for NYC. All he seemed to want to do is take away peoples freedom of choice. He thinks the constitution should be change we have too many freedoms and we should have no right to privacy. He proved this when he had the NYPD put Muslims communities under surveillance violating their right to privacy.
