So last night i posted this question on my little local hometown forum & somebody posted this video in response to the question. I knew that Homeland Security dollars are behind the local cop cars turning black but didn't know why they are doing it.

So the video is retired Marine Colonel DeMartino veteran of Iraq at a town council meeting in NH and he gives the reason why they are turning all cop cars black. It's a short video - like 3 minutes so check it out if interested.

Great line by the Colonel in the video:

"There is always free cheese in a mouse trap."

It's so's they are harder for you to spot when they are out creeping around. Plus, it's sa little more ominous and threatening.

Today I noted 3 completely black police cars - I live between the Wi Dells and Madison, WI.

There's always free cheese in the mousetrap - that's as good as arguing with a democrat/liberal is like playing chess with a pigeon.

I thought there was something up with the new cop cars.

Bankrupt country spending money like its going out of style.

They are preparing for the unprepared folks.

Don't be one.

Black has always been a traditional color of police cars. Thus the term black and whites.

He is spot on, of course. You don't have to have served in the military to see whats been happening to our country.

People just refuse to go there, when it comes to the truth and reality. Very sad.

I would have loved to hear his take of the Fake Boston Bombing Hoax.

I had to flag this thread.

I've been telling people for awhile now....DHS has become an umbrella-like organization that envelopes ALL of the alphabet agencies together, AND includes all of the police departments across the entire US. This is EXTREMELY scary, and it is also EXTREMELY well thought out.

I often ask myself.....what was the REAL reason we allowed 9/11 to happen? What is the REAL end game here? The truth is....I don't think it has revealed itself yet. I think that right now, all we have are a bunch of puzzle pieces, and we don't have the big picture yet.

What I DO know, is that local police departments all over the country are being upgraded to military style combat units, and it is terrifying. I also know DHS is behind it all. These are SCARY TIMES.

Not necessarily dollars, but a perusal around the interwebs indicates that DHS recommended that police departments go back to the black and white color scheme on their cruisers, mainly to standardize, and for visibility.

So, it would seem that DHS has their hands all over this one.

Federalization of the police force across the country; Standardize, and pull all police forces under the direct authority of the DHS, through local administration. End game? A civilian army that can be used against the American citizens. The colonel nailed it.

They aren't black and white - they are completely black, with no markings.

Take a look at the (COPS) Community Oriented Policing Services Program under DOJ:

2010 - $792 million
2011 - $495 million
2012 - $199 million
2013 - $290 million

$1.776 Billion buys alot of Crown Vic's in black.

Rather small minded view to say all police cars are turning black, just browsing through Ford's new police interceptor gallery is showing plenty of non black cars.

Last time I visited family in 2011, Reedsburg, Lake Delton and Wis. Dells had black and whites or white and blue cars. Sauk County Sheriff cars were blue or brown.

I now live in NE Ohio and most of the cop cars are mainly white. The unmarked are dark blue or grey.

But it looks like Dodge got the contract around here. Chargers have become a dime a dozen. Clevelands SWAT MRAP is still the original tan as well.

Community Orientated Policing Services has nothing to do with purchasing or budgeting for police cars, they assist in the recruiting of police officers.

Okay good then - nothing is going on. Just happened to notice my town and surrounding towns all turned their cop cars to black for no reason in the past year.

Don't believe your lying eyes. Maybe it's a Jersey thing.

Great Video! And that Guy is Right. They are building up our Internal Forces of Police into Military Tactical Styled Troops. Prob for our impending UnRest. Where I was from I did 6 months for Driving on Revoked license. ALL 180 Days. I was an OutSide Trustee and did menial labor, washed Squad Cars etc., and other time wasting stuff OutSide Daily of the JailHouse. Learned A Lot about how 'They' Are. A lot were ok and did NOT want to be used in the ways They are being trained to be, for the UpComing Events. HowEver, Some were DownRight Happy about being able to go out and shoot before questioning ANYONE Who even Looked Threatening to them! Talk about Corrupt! I Saw and Heard WAY More than I wanted to. I had Probs with a lot of ways things were done BeFore I went in. Now I can Multiply that Disdain by a Factor of 100!
AnyWays, I was told by Officers The Black Cars, Trucks, Personal Carriers, Attack Vehicles I saw and dealt with are Black for The Intimidation Factor.
Later, Syx.

Same reason their uniforms have almost universally gone to dark or military color schemes black, dark blue, olive, etc...

Standardize & intimidate - it's a military force & they want to make sure that you know they'll happily kick your teeth in if you're not in-line.

Something which may be quite relevant to this discussion. Read this as: When TPTB pull the DHS trigger, the US Army ain't coming to the rescue.

Army warns it could have trouble handling single war
Tom Vanden Brook, USA TODAY, October 17, 2013

WASHINGTON - Budget reductions could render the Army at "high risk to meet
even one major war," according to documents obtained by USA TODAY, a warning
the Army is sounding because it sees another war as inevitable before long.

The dire assessment by top Army officials to Pentagon leaders provides a
glimpse of the behind-the-scenes struggle for the future of the military in
a time of declining budgets.

So this is what the average cop wears on patrol is it?

Stop with the ignorant fear mongering please, you're showing photos of cops in riot gear, it's meant to intimidate!
