ok really....

its pushing half four and still nothing

Im telling you, they dont have the votes

starting to worry you might be right

they know they dont have the votes so they are stalling for time until the markets close

the US market has closed but per boneheads letter, he will not "try" and block the senate bill. Meaning he is not going to let the world know that he doesn’t have the votes right now. He’s going to allow the vote so he can say “I tried my best” to his constituents When the votes overwhelmingly come in as NO!

his letter was a poor attempt to clean his hands of this.

No one has yet to say, WE HAVE THE VOTES! like the senate has done early today.

I will love to see the Supreme court stepping over if Obama refuse to pay the debt owned by law.

It has never happen before that doesn't mean they do not have the power.

I was referring to the american markets, I thought the US had more markets then the DOW. They sure know how to keep the suspense.

This would make the House GOP leader appear weak in front of other Republicans i dont think they would follow suit with him.

the problem with that is it will take 18 month to reach them and by that time, the damage is already done.

They do but all markets are up today last i checked other than a few in the Asia.

Even US bond yields fell which shows confidence they will reach a deal.

They have to come back, not coming back is bad for them however the vote goes.

I'm late to the party today. How long has this recess been going on for now? You'd think with something this important, they'd not be in recess yet.

They'll wait until the absolute last minute to vote so that they don't appear weak. This way after it passes they can fall back and say, "We tried our best, we held out until the very last minute for the American people!"

Just vote, get to work on a lasting compromise. I swear I've seen more mature behavior on an elementary school yard.

Agreed,

they done the same thing last time this happened.

but the sad truth is that they are only delaying the inevitable.
